Is the Falcons game a "must win"for Panthers?

Not looking good at all the Falcons are looking organized this year. A loss here would indicate quite a bit to me, most importantley we are not able to compete in our division, but in the bigger picture the team is not moving forward. I have seen nothing indicating we are a better team than last year and that is unacceptable.

Solid fan right here. Take notes kids.

There are many kinds of fans. Some who are more realistically expressive and some more hopeful. Pessemistic or optimistic. Either way, niether have anything to do with loyalty which IMO defines a fan, and personally as an opened minded individual, I appriciate both perspectives.

So you're expecting a win over the on-fire Falcons?

I always expect a win. I'm sure this team will bounce back from the NY game, and with a longer week of preparation we should be able to hold our own against ATL. It's all about finishing though.

If we lose, there will be a reason why and I hope that we will fix that reason ASAP. But am I gonna cry or bitch? Nah, cuz it's a fuggin football game haha.

Look at my avatar and user title. Do I honestly look like an optimistic rainbows and lollipops fan?

I just get sick of wimpy fans rolling over in submission and just saying "We're gonna get butt raped". Those are the kind of fans that make us look like pussies, and those are the kinda fans that make Falcon/Saint trolls get boners.

AT LEAST give a fugging explanation on why we will get beat soooo badly.

I was optimistic all offseason, had every reason to. I was predicting at worst 9-7 if not 11-5. Then Week 1 rolled by and my expectations were rattled. I held true, though, sticking to my prediction. Then we beat the Saints*, and my hopes got up again. I thought the TB game was just one of those weird fluke games that happens sometimes. But then a similar showing against a battered NY brought me crashing down again. I'm not tanking the season quite yet but the Falcons are in a very good position to deliver a crushing curbstomp next weekend.

    • I don't do locks lol. I just bet +1000 and up and can hit at a decent rate. Combine ml winners and team shots on target. Do better in champions league than anything else
    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
