The Charlotte Observer pokes fun at Cam Newton?

I cannot see the Saints fans rejoicing that their receiver threw their QB under the bus like you folks did over a towel over his head and his demeanor. They get angry that their team lost but I can't see them taking it to the level you folks take it too by rewarding bad behavior with blame shifting. Why, because the Saints expect better from their fans.

Ohh yeah? How about the Saints retards that said things like : "I'm sorry to say it, but I wish we still had Williams as DC, he would have had the defense lay some hits on Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire" after we beat them into the ground.

That is a direct quote from Saints Report btw. All fan bases have irrational homer retards. Your hating on the panther fan base is tiresome, we are no different than any other fan base when it comes to team criticism.

Can the paper print this yes.

Should they... no.

They need to do a callout of the entire organization instead of 1 guy.

Its a 53 man roster and a Staff with an entire offseaon to prep.

Cam is not staff but you will never hear them say anything that points a finger at someone higher than a player and thats why they are not worth listening to.

Cam has already shown repeatedly that he has the skills to get the job done as QB.

If he gets down emotionally it shouldn't be a suprise and he wouldn't be the first 1st round quarterback on this team to do so.

Instead of focusing on the symptoms of this team's problems, the ownership should address the disease.

I agree...I seriously doubt any real SB conteding team would be paying the media any mind any way. They are well aware of the distance they sometimes have to keep from the media when it comes to the players and their in house issues.

You can tell Rivera was pissed about what Steve did because it was a complete distraction after a bad lost. Rivera is well aware how much the media love to pounce on anything Cam.

Steve, IMO, threw the entire team under the bus by his antics. Talk about selfish. He knows Cam is the face of this franchise and he also knows how much the media wants Cam's flesh because they've been attacking this kid at every turn since he was at Auburn.

WTF do they want...smh

A little more poise?

A little more leadership?

A little more awareness? (You're down 17 and make a superman pose? Really??)

A little less woe-is-me, 'I-just-ate-a-s**t-sandwich' look on his face when things aren't working?

A little less Jay Cutler?

That's for starters.

Why can't we be more like Pitt? NE? Indy? Balt? I have never heard their media bad mouthing their franchise qb like Charlottes did to Cam Newton.

Wow. Really? Roethlisberger was taken to task time and time again for his *ahem* indiscretions.

LOL...the Saint fans were mocking your QB..They were not mocking their own. You are missing my point. They went after your QB while protecting their own. That is what I'm talking about.

And I don't hate you folks..I'm just extremely disappointed in how much you let your emotions control the energy level. If you don't feel fans energy level play a role in team moral..think again.

Do you seriously feel Eli would be where he's at if the Gaint fans threw him under the bus every time the media attacked him whn he took Kurt Warner's job and took a while to get his feet under him? Remember, it took Eli four years to get it right. And to this day, he still struggles with levels of inconsistancies with his throwing but he has a team that believes in him and they support him.

When the Captain of a team runs to the media and throws his QB under the bus over something as silly as how kid act when his team loses, that is saying we don't respect him because in all honesty Cam wasn't doing anything different than any other QB.

Remember when the media went after Cutler because they knew he didn't like them? When the media got a receiver to throw Cutler under the Bus, how well did that go over with the rest of the team and their season?

Lol@ the one's who hate the kid, trying to justify this bullshit. As far as this "big city's do this all the time" line, stfu. I live in Jersey, the times, the post and the inquirer out in Philly, poke fun and make witty puns, but they don't sabotage their own effort. This is just tasteless.

"Sabotage?"

"Tasteless?"

Man, come on. Aren't you overreacting a bit?

Newton's brought this upon himself. He needs to sack and be a leader, not a front runner.

    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
    • Sign him up. I am willing to bet he wouldn't finish a game with -2 yards.
    • He is just fuging limited in every way.  On one hand, and nfl player, you would want to bulk them up so long as it doesn’t limit their mobility, elasticity, flexibility, ROM, or dynamicism - as is the concern with bulking up.  But the issue with that is, you would be worried about that when a guy has those traits to begin with.  Bryce is a very average athlete with a weak arm.  So if you’re not gonna be a great athlete with a strong arm, bulk up.  And if you can’t or won’t bulk up, find another fuging profession that doesn’t require athleticism and arm strength.  You’re built like a bitch AND aren’t a great athlete - you can’t be subpar in both categories…  well, unless you play for the Panthers apparently.
