If Cam Newton yelled 'get off my f***in field'

I think it kind of relates to paying your dues before you can get away with that stuff. Maybe the media and non-Panther fan base feels he should pay a little more dues before he starts acting like TO all the time.

I think this answers my question about why the media seems to hate Cam so much.

Kind of our fault, we shouldn't be posting here after our game.

This thread caught my I and thought an outsider looking in perspective might be helpful. I unfortunately feel that this particular individual is HUGE Cam fan and nothing I could ever say or do would lead him to think critically about Cams action which is fine we are called fans for a reason.

First off I'm not a HUGE Cam fan. I'm a fan of football. My comments on here seem to be met with He's a "nut hugger" and other silly comments but no one has given me an intelligent and mature answer as to why everything Cam does seem so offend them. Instead they feel if they can continue to make empty pursuasive arguments, I would give in.

I simply don't see the reason for the constant criticism of this kid outside of insecurities and pure arrogance. Even worst is when other fans see the way the Panther fans behave towards Cam and hide their own hate for him by coming on this site and feed their egos in hopes of widing the wedge between fans and QB. I'm sure if a Panther fan was to go onto a Falcon fansite and state their opinion as to how the team should handle their QB for a silly celebration, you would tell them to mind their business. and stop playing devil's advocate.

Why are you so concerned with what the Panther's team do to their QB because of a celebated dance? And please spear me all that fake concerns...Did it really hurt your ego that badly or do you see the opportunity to continue feeding the distraction?

I hate to say this but today's football fans aren't like when I was going up. Way to much desire to ruin a team for self gain. Back in my time we hated a team but also had a healthy respect for them, hence my deep dislike for Joe Namath and the 49ers. Even thou I hated the team and felt he was as arrogant as ever, I respected his talent.

Some of the Panther fans on her seem like eating their own.

Footballisasport doesn't care. He isn't a panthers fan either. He is a cam fan first and only, likely an Auburn fan.

I seem to care way more about your team's welfare than you do. Sadly, You're to blind to realize it.

And BTW, I'm from the North. Don't even know where Auburn except for when they talk about the school on tv or I read about them in the sport section

So, please stop assuming.

I don't think I can get you to go back and read the orginal post you quoted so I will qoute it for you.

I wrote in there dancing is fine, but when you score a TD you go celebrate with the other players then do what ever tango you feel like doing.

So Cam celebrated by himself in the moment. Who are you to second guess and criticize what he did? why is he did such a big deal to you and or anyone. Is this DWTS or football?

Why are you making so much out of a silly celebration because you didn't like it? You're not answering my question. U're just justifying your own rational.

I don't think skin color has anything to do with that. Atlanta had a black QB that was loved by the media, his city and their fans.

Did you see the team Ryan inherited in 2008? We made the playoffs because of Ryan.

Winning heals all.

Yeah, we saw how that went...Thanks to over-the-top lyying by the media, Vick spent more time in jail than everyday Joe who treated animals worst. Not saying what he did was right but, the media beatdown was very much uncall for.

Matt Ryan doesn't have a TD dance. He does, however, have a winning record in the NFL.

I'd rather have a QB that studies game film than one who practices TD dances.

Cam has twice (heck, maybe three times) the physical talent as Ryan. Ryan has 10 times the leadership abilities as Cam.

The only way an NFL quarterback escapes ridicule in this league is by winning. Period.

Or being a media darling...

Oops, am i spilling the secrets.

Like I said, it hurts me more than it hurts you we haven't won a playoff game, especially since we have had 3 chances. We lost to the Cardinals on the road Ryan's rookie year. We lost to the eventual champs Packers and Giants to follow that up.

Kurt Warner, Aaron Rodgers and Eli Manning.

-------------

Rodgers gets away with the 'Discount double-check' for one reason. He wins.

Superman should fix his 7-13 regular season record before cheesing it up in the endzone.

you're just going to have to get over that.

Find me someone who isn't a troll that ignores the real issues with the team.

Your incredible sensitivity about any critique, justified or not is what makes you hard to take seriously. I think cam is a fantastic player and the most important player on the team but he isn't above criticism.

Can you please just find a cam newton forum because you obviously don't give a crap about this team at all.

Mango55 give it a rest. I simply ask a question..Why do you spend so much time trying to turn your QB into someone more suited to your image of a perfect QB but you sit and ignore the immaturity coming from the vets and leaders on this team week in and out?

Don't you think you have your priorities out of order? Shouldn't you be demanding way more from the vets and captains on this team than you do your rookie QB? They are the real leaders of this team. If they aren't doing their job, how do you expect a rookie to do his job. Oh yes, they can do as they please and be immature but you need to break Cam's balls at every turn because the media demands it.

Let's teach Cam a lesson...Let's whip him into shape because he thinks he's this and that because he wears a towel on his head or does a TD dance...In the meantime, the vets and leaders of your team can act five times more immature and do as they please and none of you have much to say about it.

Real leaders lead by example. It's clear the Panthers have no real leaders. Just fans who feel it's their job to break the balls of every QB they get.

Cam is head of a damn sinking ship and all you're concerned with is the media ridiculing him for dancing after getting a TD and wearing a towel over his head. Yeah, you clearly love your team.

People are still ignoring the fact that Ryan is celebrating within his teammates...AND...people are trying to put words into Ryan's mouth. He's not saying "get off MY field". Which is funny that the op's title of what if Cam yells get off MY field. They are projecting what they feel is already seen by many on and off the field as a ME-first attitude by Cam and expounded through how many freaking articles last week. Ryan didn't say MY field. He said OUR field. Crash on Ryan all you want, but what he did was through his words and celebration was include his teammates and express something that gives team ownership to their house....NOT "MY".

What's sad about this is that people attempted to look into this, as with how many other comparisons, as some legitimization on Cam's attitude. I have exactly no problem with what Ryan said/did (highfiving his teammates). They won...in THEIR house. We want to justify celebrations? Just freaking finish a game.

Plus I think the unusually heated moment from Ryan was because Cam dissed the town of Atlanta by doing the A-town stomp and then the 'no more' sign before the superman shirt thing. Ryan was just taking up for his town. Not taking anything away from either side. I love it. I was about 30 feet from Cam when he did it and started laughing. Everybody else was booing but laughing too. No big deal.

isn't Cam from Atlanta? I mean seriously...

It's amazing how our media can get fans to sit and make so much out of nothing while ignoring what they see in their own mirrors.

You're missing the point atl. It was a hard fought win & his emotion got him. No biggie imo...

But reverse the situation (& put it in BoA) & Cam yells that, half the sports shows would be bashing him, calling him immature, classless, etc...

Are they not beating him up over a silly TD dance? You're only telling the truth.

Not comparing Cam to Ron artest but hear me out..... Its just like if Ron Artest does a hard foul and Kobe does a hard foul... Its going to be looked at differently.

I say that because Matt Ryan is known as the Peyton Manning type guy... Not known from anything controversial.... Cam is more new age... Does antics but i still dont think thats why they would say something..... I think they would say something because dude is so hot and cold... Win he is winning he is smiling and having fun like a kid in a candy shop... When he lose.... Dude just act like he the only dude suffering during that lose.... He gotta remember he is a leader.

I the media has a mindset that Cam is immature so they will take things in differently then say if a McNabb did something...... Just using it as an example...

I seriously wonder if some of you folks get your talking points from the media.

Show he a QB who is happy and smiling when their team loses and I'll show you a QB who still gets ripped by the media. They will claim he isn't taking the game serious enough.

Damn if some of these players do and Damn if they don't.

I notice you use the word "you" a lot in that post. That would lead me to believe that you're talking about me specifically. But when i read what you write it seems like what you're talking about is some Strawman Panthers fan that embodies everything you think is wrong with America.

Please find all these things I've said is wrong with Cam Newton. I Have zero problem with anything to do with his attitude. As long as it's not affecting his play on the field, and it doesn't seem to be doing so, he can do whatever he wants. The towels just kind of this thing, he wears it winning or losing. But ulike yourself, I Care more about the team than cams personal accomplishments. I would rather he hand off every play and win than get a perfect qb rating and lose.

Cam is the best thing to happen to the panthers since they went to the Super Bowl, but he is far from perfect and still has a lot to improve on.

That truly is who he is talking to. Literally no one has done what he claims yet he still insists on repeating the same false statements in every one of his posts.
