Some of the more talented safeties we've showcased in the past few years

Sherrod Martin

Charles Godfrey

Deke Cooper

Marquand Manuel

Jordan Pugh

Yea I'd say safety is a no. 1 need. Especially since it's essential for any accountable secondary

Sad when Deke Cooper is arguably the best guy on this list outside of Godfrey.

If we're in a position to draft Star or Hankins we have to pull the trigger. If not make a play at a DT in FA. A lot of good one's out there (e.g. Kevin Williams, Henry Melton, Randy Starks, Sedrick Ellis, Terrance Knighton, Corey Williams, Glenn Dorsey) that can make an impact.

If we sign a DT, draft a shutdown CB round 1. Xavier Rhodes, Dee Milliner, and Jonathan Banks are great choices. Round 2 we can draft a ball hawk FS like Robert Lester or Bacarri Rambo.

Round One: Elite Safety (preferably the consensus #1 at this position if we are able to draft him in our spot.)

Round Two: Big, physical, WR with hands

Round Four: Offensive line (likely will be physically gifted but raw or good technique but lacks athleticism in this round)

Free Agency: Young + Promising DT. It's about time Hurney grows some balls and invests some actual $$$ into an IMPACT player and not a depth or roll player. We need a starter who earns his money.

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
