Coaching/QB Observations

As I watched games Sunday, I kept being drawn to watching the HC's. Here is what I saw:

(won't even pretend to know names)

Raiders - Young coach : Attentive to all aspects of the game, carrying a clip board - making notes. Speaking constantly on his headset. Always engaging players - waiving them back from the sideline, motioning for them to hurry up. I saw a QB on the sideline one on one with a receiver going over a route and maybe what the QB was looking for in that route - not just when something good happens (high 5, laughing, etc..) this was right after an INT.

Falcons - same

NYG - veteran coach: ditto on the sideline demeanor. Ditto on the QB / WR interaction

Packers: Saw the HC down on 1 knee in a huddle with his entire offensive line! - going over some photo's and coming up with a solution?

Ravens/49ers - although a bit explosive, both coaches very involved with all aspects of the game.

Seeing a pattern? All I see when I vision the Panthers is a HC fixing someones helmet during a defensive timeout that "we" called. Shouldn't our Defensive minded HC be involved with the discussion of the defense in a critical situation?

I just don't get it.

Good observation Rivera and his coordinators need to get more involved in the game. This is not a chess match.

He needs to be more directive and involved

I think he just means that Rivera wasn't getting turned down for jobs because he was a Rooney rule interview and he was being discriminated against.

I'll admit that at this point I kinda wonder if 9 other teams didn't see something in him that we failed to see and that's why he never got a break. I'm sure he's a great guy and I'm know he's a good DC but with fundamental things on this team declining rapidly from last season I have to wonder if he's just not cut out for this job.

If I could see a progression in the team and adjustments in the scheme but the excuse the team did not execute when they run this read option over and over shows me he has no clue.He needs a scheme that we can execute

He does. There are also things on the other side of the ball that lead me to believe he's not getting the job done. Tackling? The entire team didn't forget how to tackle in the offseason - that has to be a coaching / management problem.

"GUYS IF WE WERE WINNING NONE OF THIS WOULD MATTER, THEREFORE NONE OF THIS MATTERS!!!!!"

^How do those people still exist? It doesn't matter what was close to happening, what might have happened, what could have happened. All that matters is what has happened consistently which is losing.

Bellicheck isn't the most animated guy. I want a guy who will have our players prepared for all situations. I want a team that isn't afraid to let go of guys who serve no purpose on our roster. I just want to win. The way acts on the sideline is being overblown. My concern with Ron is the team doesn't seem prepared, time management sucks and has no one on the staff has head coaching exp. to help him.

He is widely considered the best coach in the league too. Rah-Rah fanatics want rah-rah coaches. Raheem Morris, Jack Del Rio, Steve Spagnulo, and Jim Haslem screamed or yelled till slobber ran down their mouth. They couldn't produce consistent winners though.

Fat Pat fails again

not a good pic to bolster your claim that camster is involved - looks to me like he has a towel over his head and is ignoring his coach.
