Albert Breer's 2013 GM List

Good drafts. Maybe, I don't know. But look at the list of his successes that someone provided:

Crabtree, Iupati, Anthony Davis, Willis, Bowman, Vernon Davis, Kaepernick, Culliver, Aldon Smith

These... are all 1st round picks. And high ones. You can't really call someone a good drafter because their top 10 picks had success. It's expected. You have to dig deeper, and looking at their non-1st round picks over the past 7 years, not a heck of a lot of them stick out as impressive to me.

Sure but you have to hit on them. And they sure hit on most of them.

If you wanna dig deeper than my guess would be John Idzik with Browner, Sherman, Chancellor and Doug Baldwin.

A lot of fans love Marc Ross ATM. I guess we should throw him out since what have they find in the late rounds right? And don't forget they can't find no LBs.

I'm just saying Gamble and the 49ers have done hell of a job finding these players.

Hurney has hit on all of his first rounders except for Otah, which was only due to injuries. Honestly 1st round isn't the greatest judge.

Regardless, as someone pointed out to me, Gamble was only in charge of pro scouting until recently. I was mistaken to focus on their draft history.

Based on what I've seen/heard, I want Ross.

Fewell was identified as a HC candidate by Hurney, for all we know Ross may not consider Fewell HC material - so hiring Ross doesn't necessarily mean Fewell is the next HC.

I hope so. I don't want Fewell. Let's stay away from HC candidates that have been passed up multiple times before, (i.e., Rivera). If Fewell earned the job, he should've got it last time. Which he loss it to ole Chico instead and look how Chico turned out like.
