Anyone else intrigued by DE/LB/S/TE Dion Jordan?

Now I'm not the kinda guy that forgets we run a 4/3 and says we should draft a rush LB like Jarvis jones or manti te'o, but this kid they call the praying mantis might be worth the pick.

Jordan stands at 6 foot 7 and weighs 250. He has a lot of weight and muscle to put on his frame, but his speed and athleticism is like nothing you've ever seen.

He's projected to run 4.5 forty yard dash. Jordan has played and excelled at OLB, DE, SS, CB and WR.

Someone smart enough to see his potential will draft him as a DE in the top 10 and turn him into the next Aldon Smith.

This is the most impressive highlight reel I've seen in college football. I'm gonna just gonna say now that I think this kid is even better than Jadeveon clowney.

Watch the fugging hits on the QB he lays at 1:03, 1:24, and 1:35. Seriously unreal.

sonofabitch... tried to post the video for you but it's not working for me for some reason

Yeah I can only go on the huddle on my iPhone so I can't post pictures or videos.

If anyone wants to add pictures or videos it would be appreciated, he is truly an incredible specimen.

You say you're the kind of guy that doesn't forget that we run a 43 D. But you go and talk about how he's going to be the next Aldon Smith and you list Jordan as a DE/LB. I know he's a DE/LB but what's the point of saying you know we're a 43 and also listing him as a LB? Unless youre thinking about the possibility of running a 34.

And really? Jordan is better than Clowney? Jordan should be going no.1 then. The kid is good but not Clowney good. He can def be a good DE at the next level but I see him as an OLB in a 34. Yeah just like Aldon Smith.

Nowhere did I say he's a must have prospect. Just that he is nothing like I've ever seen and there's no doubt he could play whatever position he wants. Meaning he could excel in the 4-3.

I know our DEs are good but with this kids potential, you can never have enough elite pass rushers.

I think you could see him as the best player on a lot of people's boards come April.

If I were going DE, I'd go Bjourn (sp) Werner from FSU. I've watched that guy a few times and he is a monster. I know this is weird to say, but I kinda wish DE was a need just because of him. He is going to be a stud in the NFL.

Yea I second that.

Werner is a beast. He's nothing exciting or flashy when you watch him but he's a straight up monster. Werner's IQ for the game is very high also.

Im sure he can play both position well in the next level. He has the size and abilities to. I think he'll just be a better 34 OLB than a 43 DE. And I believe he can be a very good DE.

And I never bashed him about being a must have prospect. I just said that it was funny how you stated about not taking 34 prospects like a Jarvis Jones, bc youre one of the few who still "know that we run a 43 D". But you then go right on and talk about a potential 34 player and also compared him to a 34 OLB (Aldon). Just funny.

You're lost man, and just looking for something to talk poo about.

Jarvis jones and dion Jordan are nothing a like.

Jones is 6-3 240 and Jordan is 6-7 250, with A LOT more muscle to add.

Jones is strictly an OLB where Jordan can play whatever te fug he wants and excel, he's that good.

Nowhere in my post did I say we should draft him and switch to a 3/4 like all the kids say we should with jones or Te'o.

And yeah, him and Aldon are a lot alike but Jordan is bigger. If you watch Aldon smith, he gets a lot of sacks lined up as a normal DE with his hand on the ground.

We could do some awesome blitz packages with this guy. But once again you have the completely wrong idea of what I'm trying to say.

    • Yea, its a awful year for COY there's like 5 coaches Id as a  non-panther fan say are more worthy than Dave. Ben Johnson is doing similar to Dave by taking a yearly loser into a winner, but da bears are what 9-10 wins right now. Liam Coen has the fuging jags at 9-4 with similar talent as Panthers, I mean they drafted before them this pass year and had nearly zero from a guy they traded up for @#2 hunter.  ugh....Sean Payton&vance has the broncos as the current #1 seed in the AFC..... you know the broncos before the year starts you have the chiefs with mahomes&reid and chargers with herbo&harbs. No one had broncos winning there nor as a the #1 overall seed.  Mike Macdonald has the Seahawks at 10-3 compare that to Panthers 7-6, they are in a blood bath against Rams and 49ers.....shanny has half the team on IR with a 9-4 record.  Chargers are 9-4 with no OL or RB and not much on D.  I have even put colts above Dave and the Panthers, if not for Danny injury...they were on the way and playing great. Just soooooooooooo many HC deserving this year and still more games, but Dave has over played this year for sure. I had them at a firm 2 win team, with 4 being the maybe and 7?!?!?!? being the everything goes right. 7 wins is possible given the shitty NFC south.
    • He did everything right but catch the ball. Kept his hands out in front, palms away from his body, watched it in, and then dropped the dam ball! Text book up until he dropped it.
    • Just try to enjoy it for what it is. I don't need to convince myself that Young is good. He isn't. If this team makes the playoffs with the cinder block of Young dragging them down all season, even better.  But, some crucial things still need to happen, and being close, and moral victories, and at-least-they-tried isn't good enough.
