Chud, and by extension Rivera, torpedoed our season before it even started. And it's not just the read option stuff. He has no commitment to the running game until there is no choice, and has not been able to get the best out of the talent he's been given.

I would love to see him replaced, but put the odds of that happening at maybe 10% if Rivera stays.

You apparently didn't catch Norv's post game interview after we beat them did you?

Or his comment about "working with someone I've worked with before and know well" also after the Panthers vs Chargers game.

Rivera or the new GM will do what Hurney wouldn't do... (Fire Chud) And that's why Hurney got poo canned.

Because he said he wants to work with someone he worked with before doesn't mean he automatic goes to the Panthers. Their will be a lot of teams that will do anything to bring in Norv as a OC. The Jets has been reported to be high on Norv list also. As for Hurney, he got canned because he didn't want to fire Rivera.

Hard-working, likeable Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney was fired Monday after the team's fourth straight defeat and one of the reasons is that he hired Ron Rivera as head coach in 2011, which league sources say was against the reservations of owner Jerry Richardson.

Richardson and Rivera held their own post-Hurney discussions, and Rivera knows his job status is being evaluated week-to-week.

Chud got called for a bs horse collar tackle vs the Cowboys.

Chud let Tampa poo all over the defense in lightening quick fashion to completely steal a game with like 33 seconds left.

Chud can go into full retard mode but he is still better than most OCs out there. If we would keep Newton under center and stop doing the read option so much, we would be fine(and we have been doing that for the most part lately).

      If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
