Game 32: Charlotte Bobcats (8-23) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (7-26)

Dunlap certainly isn't the long term answer. He's a college coach. They brought him in because the team was so awful they needed a guy to reteach them fundamentals. How long did you actually think those 4 hour extended practices were going to work for a pro ball club? these guys are losing and now they're going to be exhausted by the ASB.

I like the guy and appreciate his hard working, defensive mentality. But c'mon. You don't play defense in the NBA until the playoffs, and we've seen where his defensive strategy has gotten them so far this season.

But to get back to your point, he looks like a stop-gap hire. He's a good coach I'm not knocking that, and I'm most def not knocking the argument about the team needing players, but maybe he can develop some of the younger guys like MKG and Kemba (Kemba has evolved as a player this season no question) and then after we get a few more pieces to build around from the draft......we will be attractive enough to lure an established coach and Dunlap can parlay his NBA experience to a nice D1 coaching gig.

Eh don't think Dunlap is the long term answer. He will be here a few years but all great teams have great coaches except Miami.

I used to think that Spoelstra suck but now I really think he's a legit coach. He has Miami playing and probably is the most physical team in the league. A great defense and moves the ball very well and fast on the court. It's really not just bc he has Lebron, Wade and Bosh. Lakers can't do nothing with all those talents can they? Spoelstra deserves more credit than he get.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
