Cam is still going to look the same under any other OLINE. What don't you get???

I'm not going to be faster by having a bigger hole.

I'm done. It's laughable .

No your not magically going to be faster. Wide open holes allows you to accelerate and reach top speeds faster. Dodging defenders tends to slow you down a bit. I'm only saying this because you say he "looks" faster when your watching angles on a tv screen. We pulled the numbers and your he's faster argument doesn't hold up. Their isn't a big difference between the two.

I'm looking at both their speed when running on open field.

It's just funny.

I don't understand whats funny. Cam looks every bit as fast if not faster than Kaep on the field too. Remember that 70 yard run Cam had against ATL. Cam is waaay more elusive and has better vision than Kaep. Kaep can't make anybody miss. I haven't seen him juke a defender yet and i've been force fed 49er football out here all year. He's a product of the system. DE crashes down he keeps the ball and runs straight without having to make anyone miss.

I bet you've only seen the GB game and the ESPN highlights of what he does good. I've seen every snap this guy has taken this season. The guy is not all that. Trust me.

I'm not the one basing one play vs GB so I'm not the one who saw espn highlights of Kaep. The only game I didn't see from Kaep was his debut game this season. After that, I saw every game.

Theyre in the same class. Kaep is much faster but not by a huge margin. You making it sound like there's no difference. There's a margin in the comparison of their speed. Trust me. Kaep is a more elusive runner also.

Definitely not more elusive. I would like you to give some examples of him making anybody miss I can't think of any. We all know cam can juke em

Cam can juke.

Kaep reminds me of Vick in his prime. His burst when he takes off running is scary. Cam doesn't run like Vick and Kaep. He's more Vince young in running style. That's my opinion

Kaep's burst is what separate him from Cam

I guess the OP forgot that AJ and Kaepernick would have to play in Charlotte with Rivera, and boy would he/she be in for a surprise when they saw how poor their numbers would be under Rivera and the Panthers 2012 offensive line.

It's easy to look good when you're a one read/zone QB, playing under a good scheme, coaching, Offensive line, running backs, and a good defense, from day one!!

Still an interesting question though.

I know how many games I watch of Kaep bro. Don't tell me I don't know.

They had like 50 games on MNF and SNF alone. Kiddin me??

no you're kiddin me dude...I don't care how many games they played on MNF and SNF I know you haven't watched every single snap of every single game they've played this year. unless you're a fan of theirs and you have sunday ticket.

I never once said we were going to have another coach. Said all along it was Rivera in this scenario.

Green alone strengthen our WR corps a ton with 89. Kaep is simply another Cam. Option QB that has play making ability that can pass. I believe Kaep and Green wouldve still won 6 gms for us in 2011 with Chud's intelligences. Chud was a beast in 2011 who could've worked out 6 wins with Kaep, Green, Smith, Olsen, etc.

Remember our OLINE was always a strength on this team. Clausen, Cam, the strength was that both of them were going to do well and had the best chance to succeed bc when they came out we had a very good OLINE and great backs.

    • Either way there's some tough teams on the schedule this year, on paper anyways.
    • Same. I would prefer a MNF game earlier in the season. As if more likely has some significance in case things go south this season. If we perform well enough we could even get another game forced to a Sunday night spot later in the season.
    • Wanted to jump into this thread. Although I do not post anymore I do look in as there are a few old friends around. Loved hearing some of the names you mentioned.  Another  oldie is NanceUSMC.  He is the one who got me here from the old Observer forum.  Good guy and smart football guy. I have learned a lot from a lot of good Huddlers over the years, Over time. we have sadly lost a few who left this earth too soon.  Anyone who know of someone, it would be nice to try to make a list.  One of the more recent, CosmoGirl,  was someone that kind of hit hard.  Life sucks sometimes. Some of the best times were when we had our own tailgate and could meet up in person.  I think it made us better. Several dedicated volunteers, lead by LiverMush, started setting things up in the wee hours of each gameday morning.  Don't know all those regulars but I remember JakeFlake was one.  For you newbies...each game,  a Huddler (or a group) sponsored the food for each tailgate.  Eating was free but a donation was asked for.  At the end of the year those donations were used to buy bicycles for Toys for Tots.  Over the years Huddlers bought a lot of new bikes for kids for Christmas.  (I am guessing a couple of hundred each year.)  We had a good time getting together, got to make friends in person, and then got to feel like you were doing something good. It was truly a community. I got to meet Dan Morgan at one of our tailgates...he brought pizza from his restaurant.  How many of you remember that?  Glad the restaurant did not make it....lol. Not only have people changed, and come and gone.....but the entire nature and purpose has changed. Nothing lasts forever and we move on but we still like to think about good times. Same reason we take pictures. Want to ask a question I have not seen anyone else mention......who remembers    "The Couch" ?  We have argued, laughed, lived the ups and downs of football and dealt with a little real life along the way.  A thanks to  the Mods who keep this going.  I am sure they sacrifice a lot of their time out of love for the forum and the Panthers. Take care my friends and be well.  I will close with my new favorite quote which I think is greatly needed in these difficult times.
