Haha oh yeah. I wish. I may have a LITTLE faith in that if this whole thing wasn't started because publishers are mad that THEY themselves can't "double dip" on a game. It was already sold for full price/sales price before, they are just greedy and I guess $60 isn't enough. Everything should be cheaper if it's a download, it makes complete sense. Sadly, company's don't do this, minus a few.

Isn't the PS4 rumoured to be doing the no resale value thing as well?

WiiU it is!

Nope!

http://www.cbsnews.c...opers-on-board/

In an interview with the video game blog Eurogamer, Sony Worldwide Studio president Shuhei Yoshida says that the PS4 will not block second-hand games.

"That's the general expectation by consumers," Yoshida told Eurogamer. "They purchase physical form; they want to use it everywhere, right? So that's my expectation."

Yoshida added: "So, used games can play on PS4. How is that?"

Meh I don't think a President would say something as definitive as that if he wasn't stating a fact. As the article suggests, I think they just didn't want to reveal the info until M$ stated one way or the other....

What does "M$" have to do with their announcement? Are they not sure what their own console does?

If M$ announces they aren't allowing used games, and then Sony comes out after and makes a big deal about caring for the consumer and allowing used games it's a huge shot at M$. Would put them as the console to own in a lot of peoples minds....

why do you think the big three are toying with this idea? developers want this and will focus their resources on the console that gives them the most control.

I highly doubt the developers are going to turn their backs on millions of users of WiiU's and PS4's, and the profits that will surely come from developing for them.....

I mean I dunno about the actual money "lost" on used games but apparently it's pretty significant to developers. It would send quite the message to the big three that would force the other two to make it the norm.

ps- I don't buy that argument myself I'm just saying the companies do

I hear ya, just at the end of the day I feel like it's the big three that hold the leverage not the developers. Developers want to make as much money as possible, which can only happen if they're willing to develop for all three platforms....

    • I'm super excited about the guys we're getting back, and fortunately this year, outside of Robert Hunt, we haven't had any season-threatening injuries. Rico has earned the start, but I am excited to have both available.  The team is finally turning into the run-first team Canales said he wanted to be. As for JT Sanders, I think he has lost the most be being out. He is probably our best receiving TE, but with the emergence of Mitchell Evans & with him and Tommy Tremble both absolutely balling in run blocking, it will be hard to fix something that isn't broken. I'm hoping Turk Wharton can help with our pass rush. We really havent gotten to see him much due to injuries, but we desperately need anyone to provide some pass rush juice, which is what he was brought to do. I'm the most excited about Jalen Coker returning. Theilen may have been the most clutch last year, but I've watched a lot of film, and Coker was the most consistent WR we had when he was out there last year.  I think he can be an ideal #2 to Tmac. While Coker doesn't have the raw athleticism XL does, his route running, savvy, and overall football IQ simply make him better.  I think with the fact Coker can play both outside and in the slot will give our pass game more versatility.  We have been running a lot of 2 TE sets, and I think Tmac & Coker should be the primary WRs for 12 personnel. The other WRs (XL, Tremayne, Renfrow, & Horn) all have roles, but I dont think any of them can fully replace what Coker can do. I do think Renfrow will be inactive this week if everyone is healthy bc of how valuable Tremayne is for ST and as a run blocker. So happy that we are playing meaningful football heading into November. We are still almost certainly a year away, but we are absolutely moving in the right direction
