Steve Smith - Rules and Regulations

I willingly acknowledge Steve Smith could slap my mama and I probably wouldn't care..  okay, he could eat half my sandwich she made, throw it in her face (paper bag and all), and I still wouldn't care..

however, it is slightly interesting to watch people argue with CRA against a legitimate argument and call him crazy.  It's not like every year Smitty doesn't say something to put his foot in his mouth, when he's not punching teammates, breaking a bone playing flag football...  whatever it is..

the guy is my favorite football player ever, and I don't know how anyone could ever watch him play without getting as excited about that one catch as he is about every catch..  or when he talks poo to DBs after getting lit up making an incredible catch...

but the dude has a screw loose, obviously..  and although he is a great parent and great in the community, he is who he is on the field and off of it.  no one should really apologize for it, just accept it and enjoy the ride.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
