Cam is a smoldering fire

Are you not winning now?

And I am sure if Cam did put up numbers like those many of you would be following those in the media, who would be screaming that Cam is SELFISH and not being a team player.  :)

While Manning is having a record season????

I would love to see them pull that bs out of their butt

If Cam is putting up 5000 yds passing and 1000 yds on the ground along with 60 TDS, I am pretty sure we will be winning games.

With the defense that we have we would be 16-0 and on our way to the superbowl

Do you realize how good those stats are especially if he is throwing less than 20 ints with a 95+ qb rating????

That is god mode, absolute soul stealing of NFL teams.

It is Auburn circa 2010-2011 again, maybe even more dominant

That is HOF stats

They are Matt Stafford stats....and the Lions are prenenial losers.

This is NOT Madden. They key to an effective offense is balance.

I am not complaining, I think we would be winning regardless

Give Gettleman an off season to work his magic on the offensive side of the ball (WR,O line, #2 TE) and you'll see Cams numbers go up.  With the offensive receiving threats we have right now combined with the talent on the o line= more conservative play calling.  Not to mention we have misfired on a lot of deep throw opportunities whether it was bad throw, receiver not adjusting properly, or the receiver dropping the ball.  Those are corrections we need to make so we can have those explosive plays.

Yup.

We know Cam can go deep and rush for a shitload of yards and TDs, this season he is proving that he can complete the short-medium chain moving throws as well.  He's doing a pretty good job of polishing his game up as a pocket passer this season and playing the game before the snap.  2011 was just straight up raw Cam--pretty much just letting him cut loose and make poo happen.

Now in a season or two when all of the elements of his game finally come together and we hopefully have a threat at receiver?  Holy poo, he's going to be one bad man.

I honestly think once he puts it all together he'll have a serious shot at being the straight up best player in the league.  I think some of us sometimes forget exactly why we got so excited about him to begin with his rookie year.

HOF career going on up in here. Be happy to be part of that. Me, I think I am just going to enjoy the ride.

We'll need to double dip on weapons early in my opinion (WR, TE).

Where we will be drafting. In the high 20's or even the 30's, it is almost like we don't have a 1st rounder. I do believe we can still get some talented players at those spots, it won't be quite the same anymore.

You know how our Dline makes the entire D look better? The same goes for OL/ offense.

AJ Greens and Megatrons are rare. Don't be surprised if we don't draft a WR at all. Gettleman believes in the trenches and rightfully so. If given time, Cam can make Steve, Ted, and Donald look a lot better.

Yup. This is correct sir.

It's going to be hard to find with the 32nd and 64th pick this year .............

Sucks for the draft, but true. Great for us fans though.

Yeah I'm in the boat of been there seen that. Anywhere around 35 TDs on a team most deem defensive in nature is in my opinion outstanding. I still believe we need more production and scores from the RBs. I'd like to see 15 TDs split between the running backs by this point.

I agree, and so do many, that our RB committee is a little lacking right now. Pick up the slack guys.

i dont agree at all Shula has held him back, sorry if people want stats but wins come first, and I'm okay with that.  this offense is much more precise, dictative and made to compliment the defense.

Dominant and physical. Not many Offense like ours around.

    • Assuming Mann is back I’d go ahead and move Green and the first rounder from PHX for a starting center. I prefer Okogie to Green anyway.
    • Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.
    • I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....
