DB's vs Drew Brees

I thought we were playing zone on the WR. There was always a window of 5 to 10 feet and Brees would zoom it in everytime. Brees new favorite team to play against might just be the Carolina Panthers...

 

People said the WR would not give us trouble.. but they absolutely do. They have more weapons than us.. PLUS a freak TE who scores atleast once a game.

 

I totally believe we have all the tools to come back and beat him.. we have the coaching to look over this game and dissect their offense. I will be very happy when we beat them. Thats satisfaction.

Brees isnt a new qb.  Theres tons of film on him.  Also, I can understand if the DB's fell for it once or twice but for 4 quarters?  The Secondary played poorly and should not use any excuse except for that.

 

The exact quote in the vid used was you have to actually play him to understand what he likes to do and how they did a lil better in the 2nd half

Its simple. We need to press up man to man. Have one S deep. Either a LB or S in a robber zone to take away the middle. The press man will help take away the short quick routes. Then bring and extra guy if needed. 

 

If they are gonna beat you atleast make them earn it.

Payton and Brees will eat a zone alive unless you have some serious pass rush with your front 4. 

 

Cant believe Rivera played so much zone in that game. 

 

Need to play man press with 2 players in zones. One deep and one underneath in the middle of the field.
