Carolina O vs. Rex's 3-4

I think Shula needs to do better with the playcalling and Cam needs to stop shitting the bed and hit the guys that are open, not take sacks -20 yards and step into teh pocket. Also teh wrs need to catch the balls that hit them in the hands but really I think Cam just needs to play better and Shula needs to cal better plays. No more screen passes and long bombs, where is the slants, against good teams we shold take what we can. Of corse this relies on wrs not dropping them.

Yeah Cam, why the hell aren't you stepping up into the pocket? Oh wait, yeah that's right. It's because the pocket immediately collapses, and Byron Bell is swirling around like a fairy with his arms flailing in the air while his man blows right past him practically untouched.

get rid of the ball, by throwing to whom?

Or do you want Cam to be Jimmy Clausen and throw 2/3rds of his passes to the sideline? If You were satisfied by what you saw in 2010, so be it.

When you say "get rid of the ball," maybe you should also post a picture of the field and point out the open receiver.

You throw to where the WR should be BEFORE he breaks in an open window where theoretically only he can make the catch. Based on timing and ball placement. So the excuse that the WR isnt open doesnt fly for those types of routes and plays. Whether the WR was able to make the catch or not is another story.

Im in South East Asia traveling for 2 months so my internet connection is pretty poo. However when I get back stateside I will rewatch the NO game and break it down with screen shots and play calls just for you.

we don't run a rhythm offense. we have run it in 2 minute drills and it generally looks good so I definitely would like to see more of it.

Cam does have a tendency to hold the ball a tad too long. Against NO I noticed him doing much better at going thru his progressions but he still doesn't anticipate his throws the way vets like Brees and Manning do. It will come...

it's hard to tell from tv angles what exactly cam is seeing.

I know olsen was in pass protection multiple times. he is a key outlet for cam when the blitz is coming. there is a difference when he isn't there.

with our weak o line, teams don't really have to "bring the house" to get pressure. 3-4 defenses can really get to our o line with different blitz packages. realistically they can blitz 3-5 and keep 6-8 in coverage. I don't want cam imitating carson palmer and throwing to a spot on the field against those odds.
