It Is Lambeau Packers D, They should have something on the team after playing them 3 times and losing 3 times in a row.

 

He's still Aaron Rodgers, You saw how he came back and willed the packers to win the game against Chicago. a 80-90% Aaron is better than a 110% Flynn. and you saw that. Disregarding the Calls the Refs let go, but i digress.

a bad D playing at Lambeau is still a bad D....they can't defend CK one read and run play style.  Talent and coaching issue.

We also beat beat 4 top 11 defenses....(I say 11 b/c it excludes us and shows the best possible 10 we could face)

 

and again, my arguement isn't we were overly impressive.  It is just countering this recent hype following the GB game that SF is somehow special.  

 

So again, how is SF unique? how have they shown to be better suited to win this game?

Theyve only played three teams with top defenses. Arizona is one of them, believe it or not and the 49ers are 2-0 against them.  they went 1-1 vs seattle and lost to carolina.  So they are actually 3-2. Carolina scored twice on the 49ers, and once because they got the ball in 49er territory.  It will be a tough, tough game on D.  Both Ds are stout, both offenses have struggled.  That much is not debatable.  The differences are the intangibles like playmakers the 49ers have that they didnt in week 10.  The difference is one team is doing this for the first time, the other team has played in like 7 or 8 playoff games.    

 

You have to look for what separates these two teams because they both have bad ass D and inconsistent offense.  So saying  Kap might struggle is nice and all, but so will Cam.  So any advantage carolina has on D is negated by the same defensive advantage the 49ers have.  That's a pretty objective thing to say.

 

Difference being, the Panthers are at home.  The Panthers this year have been much better on offense at home and better on defense, as well.  

 

It's going to be a hard fought game, but I don't think Crabs decides the game.  I think Panthers win, 23-20, or something similar.

That being said Id much rather face the Niners (most overrated team in the NFL) than Green Bay who has the best qb in the NFL

Kaepernick was tops in the league against NFL defenses in the bottom half of the league (ranked 17-32 in defensive QBR)

 He was 9-0 with 9.1 yards per attempt, 18 TDs versus 0 Ints and a total QBR of 91.  Against top 16 defenses he was 3-4 with 6.2 yards a play, 7 TDs versus 8 Ints and a QBR of 31.

 

Newton was 5th against bottom 16 defenses with a 7-0 record, 8.3 yards per attempt, 16 TDs and 5 Ints with a total QBR of 78.  Against top 16 defenses he had a 5-4 record, 6.3 yards per attempt, 14 TDs versus 8 Ints and a QBR of 39. The biggest difference was Newton's 74 QBR against Seattle versus Kaepernick's 14 and 41 QBR in their 2 games.

 

While it favors Cam the difference isn't that big.  

 

But:

 

More telling is Cam's QBR against teams in the top 16 at home which is 74 versus Kaepernick's QBR against teams in the top 16 on the road which is 33.

 

Cam's record at home against top defenses: 3-1

 

Kaepernick's record on the road against top defenses:  1-2
