Kaep Contract If He Win Today

Um, you brought Dilfer into the convo........................

I brought him in the convo cause they both game managers in my eyes although Flacco is clearly better and he had a better offense around him. Neither can carry a whole team for a whole season and their D was the focal point for those runs

Well to be fair here, there aren't many quarterbacks in the NFL who can consistently carry a whole team without any help.

Thats true, but 120 million says you can

That price tag is more a reflection of the direction in which salary is currently going to for legitimate franchise players, and less "hey, here's 120 million dollars, you've gotta do literally everything". It isn't just quarterbacks getting 100 million dollar contracts these days either.

brady, manning, and brees are the only 3 QBs in the league worth burning 25+% of a team's cap on.

Other than throwing the football, what more do they bring to the table. Can they play in team with terrible OL & weapons and go 12-4? Do they keep drives alive when nothing is there? When we look back 10 years from now, those QBs values and accomplishments will probably diminished. Remember, the receivers catch those balls too.

Yeah but do you think Flacco is a legitimate franchise quarterback? One that you can sacrifice other players for?

I think so, the decision to lock him up was not a bad one, it was how much they paid him. It's tough for any quarterback to live up to that. You have to bare in mind though, that the Ravens of 2012 are not the Ravens of 2013, and they traded away Boldin to the 49ers.

it's as if you don't watch anything other than panther football.

Who cares!?

After saying all that, I would advise to bypass any speculation, and/or just wait till it happens.

Personally, if I was a GM, I wouldn't give Kaep more than $13 mil a year as a starter, with his rudimentary one read, training wheels offense as his basis.

"Word is". Huh!? Lol. I can't see the 49ers "breaking the bank for Kaep". That sounds like no nothing media people just speculating to me.

And if so; good for them/him! Glad it's not my team or QB.

The fact that Gettleman had to reiterate that he finally proved it at the end of the season? Then there was a question.

But, you're too set to see it any other way than some magical Christmas land you live in. That's okay.

I think you're misinterpreting both Gettleman pressers.

Gettleman's "pregnant pause" wasn't nearly what Joe Person made it out to be. He was speaking very matter of factly by stating, 'yeah, but it's time to win'. But it wasn't a pregnant pause or indictment.  Person was the only on that reported it that way, then the national media put their own spin on it from Person's take.

During his last press conference HE WAS ASKED, so Gettleman made if very clear to answer, cause of what was reported earlier and even joked about it through out the presser.
