Cam needs to put pressure on this team to respect him and invest on the offense with high draft picks before signing that long term deal. Even if it means trading down. He should play out the 2014 and see how those picks pan out. It's almost 4 seasons without a franchise LT and WR on this team. That needs to stop.

I've got a problem with people that come to this site and preach about how Cam needs to leave if the Panthers don't surround him with talent. This is a Panthers site, not a Cam site.

Obviously saying that he should leave is a ludicrous statement, it doesn't even warrant a response. I've only seen one or two people saying that. With that said, we absolutely do need to surround our franchise quarterback with adequate talent. There's no arguing that point.

 

As for "This a Panthers site, not a Cam site", breaking news here, he's the face of our franchise, obviously he's going to be a routine topic.

I click on every Cam topic I see. Love talking about him. I just don't like the guys that are perfectly fine with Cam leaving for a better situation.

Over reactionary people are the hallmark of the internet.  These same people:

• Will call him every name in the book if he actually does it. 
• The same people who view highlights on YouTube as scouting video. 
• The same people who assume just because the name of a player is known he is always a dramatic improvement over who we already have.  No matter how injured, old or expensive they are. 
• Same people who will want Cam to take less than market value (millions of dollars less) because that proves you are committed to winning.  Always quantifying it by saying something like well if I made 10 million a year I would be satisfied even though I should be making another 7-9 million.
• Same people who know more about coaching than all of our coaches because they play Madden or because they played football in highschool or Division 6 college football.
• Same people who call multimillionaire owners cheap because they don't find a way to circumvent the salary cap

 

Some people you just have to learn to ignore.
