  1. Past hour
  2. Bryce Young absolutely could not demand top QB money. There is no friggin way he'd go into Dan's office asking to be paid like Mahomes. I'm not even worried about that. Thinking 30-35 if they extended him now. But I would not do that now. He'll play next year after thay pick up his 5th year option. He's not delusional.
  3. Possibly. He sustained 62 sacks in his first season but has never seen half that since. If it took just one season of battering to break him, well.......
  4. I was wrong about this--did not see the OLB mention. I still think we will target TE Sardiq from Oregon. TE as a weapon is our biggest weakness on offense, IMO.
  5. It's possible, though probably and only very preliminary terms. If they do choose to extend him, Dan Graziano's short term / mid-range suggestion would be my preference.
  6. About TE--we played 3 TEs (blocking, mostly) at times Sunday. We don't have the playmaker. I would NOT BE SURPRISED to see us draft Oregon's SADIQ in round 1. Heard it here first. He is the only offensive weapon (a threat) and that is a trend in the NFL--Bowers, Kittle, LaPorta, etc. A play-making TE is PERFECT for Bryce, to be honest. It sure seems as if we are staying with Bryce. Giving him weapons and protection. The formula--if you like him or not, is to have a great run game, great OL, great receivers. Bryce has benefited from RAC from his swing passes, fwiw.
  7. Not necessarily. I mean it is part of the process but its a long way away just based on the body of work to date. I'm sure they want him to work out just to get that part of the team solidified. But like the rest of us they can also see that the plan is not going so well. I just hope we get some real backup qbs in here.
  8. Now you are getting it! Yeah he just threw little weak passes basically a game manager and his team carried him!
  9. Yep. Hurney was certainly capable of picking good players (hell, most of us can do that) but I said many times that the duty of a GM is to build a complete roster, not just add in some good players here and there. Marty was never capable of doing that, and the results showed.
  10. Peyton and Eli are brothers. Little known fact.
  11. Greg Little...Damn, I swear I'd successfully blocked that name out of my memory but it's all coming back t me now And yeah, same thing happened with DeAngelo Williams. We reportedly had Laurence Maroney ahead of him on our draft board but Belichick moved up and took him ahead of us.
  12. It's highly likely he has another sub-150 yard game with a couple of turnovers before the end of the season.
  13. He's not saying anything any of us haven't already said. Its they only move they should be thinking about. An extension is not in the conversation until he's earned it. So far he's lucky there's not a better qb on the roster.
  14. Carr was actually a great prospect. He had it all. Houston broke him. So bad that he NEVER recovered. Honestly always felt that's what was going on with our #1 pick QB. Hopefully he's finally getting his confidence back now. Hopefully.
  15. Interesting comment, because i think they expected Sanders to become that big play WR-type. But we have drafted a lot of TEs, but we have yet to make a significance investment in a playmaking TE. I can say that we have been using some 3 TE sets and Evans and Tremble looked solid as blockers. Unfortunately, this draft only has one or two who would upgrade our group. In fact, I might suggest that only Oregon's Sadiq fills that prescription. I think we could add a free agent. I expect this would give Bryce another option since he checks down so much--a mid-range target. I think Sadiq could improve the offense more than a first round WR. ''''''' This article also suggests that the Panthers are OK with the Edge situation. That implies that Scourton and Princely are expected to step up in 2026.
  16. Evans might be something at some point, Sanders and Tremble are replacement level players. Eventually you want to get an actual game changing TE at some point.
  17. Yeah...no. he's actually just engaging in the same "should / will" confusion as others have by taking Person out of context. Here's the rest of Person's statement: Canales, Dan Morgan and Tilis will weigh more than just the next four games, even if Young plays well and the Panthers end their seven-year playoff drought, when considering an extension. Young and the Panthers have taken another step forward this season. If that ascension continues in 2026, his payday is coming. Notice the "if" statements... Joe is talking about an extension being the next decision on the horizon and what will ultimately determine their choice of action. And all that within the context of what top quarterbacks are getting paid right now. In not way is he arguing that kind of extension should be considered right now. Hell, Person set the contezt for this elaboration just one sentence back in the start of the paragraph. He calls the fifth year option "an easy decision" specifically because it's more economical than any proposed extension might be. So no, it's not a solid answer. On the contrary, it's just another example of the same mistake.
  18. if you take away his deep throws, he never once threw a deep pass. And that's who they picked??
  19. A lot of Hurney's success can easily be attributed to picking in the spots of the draft that are genuinely harder to fug up. Not that people don't.
  20. Saints fan must sniff the residue left on Bourbon Street after Mardi Gras. I'm sure fat Alice has a baggie of it hidden somewhere in his nanny's room.
