HR isn't going to say a damned thing, and players aren't "scared" by nature. You're saying this stuff to support a narrative.
-
I live in Dallas and I can say with complete confidence that fans here are more angry at Dak Prescott and his crazy contract and Jerry for giving it to him than anything Parsons. They blame those 2 for the fact that they can't keep Parsons.
-
Look, I can see you clearly have some personal animosity towards Parsons to be constructing wild rumors to spread but the NFL cares nothing about that. He is one of the most valuable players in the entire league because of the level of player he is. That isn't going to change because you don't like the kid. It's more than a bit foolish to abandon all logic due to some personal axe to grind.
-
Nearly every amazing player will have a former teammate that talks poo about him. Real locker room cancers have more than one former teammate doing it. And especially given the current situation I tend to lean that Parsons is in no way a lock room cancer. Like many great players he likely knows his value and that can occasionally rub people wrong, which I imagine is what happened.
-
You can be the best and still be a selfish prick. It goes hand in hand a lot of times.
-
Would I trade DB and a 3rd for Parsons? Hell yeah. Is Parsons getting traded? Highly unlikely.
-
If Trubisky can go 2, Lance 3, and Zach Wilson 2 then its not a stretch to think Manning will likely be 1
-
So...what, you think he made all this up and they are baseless claims?
-
Dude a Reddit post? Really? By this metric I can go find every thread started on here by dumb fans about Cam. btw the top comment on that post is someone saying he’s probably the best player on the team.
-
He would probably get traded to the afc anyway.
-
Indeed. That trade is insane. They probably came up with it after looking at that Mingo deal, heh.
-
Holley was not his former teammate. Get it right.
-
It really isn't. All of this "me first" stuff is complete nonsense. I am not sure how much more the league has to show that elite pass rushers are premium positions, despite the cost of them being literally at top 15-20 QB pay levels. Now, would roster dynamics and cap come into play? Absolutely. But if those are not on the table, I am very comfortable saying that there is not a single currently employed GM not pulling that trigger.
-
I am definitely in the "choir boy" team mentality. I think locker room meshing is very important. Having players that want to play for each other. I just linked a post from Reddit where the Cowboys fans themselves discussed this. Like I said, most won't speak out on something like this and expose themselves. Would you talk trash about a co-worker if you knew HR was going to go right to them and immediately tell them verbatim what you said? https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas_Cowboys/comments/1abmjxp/cowboys_micah_parsons_probably_the_most_selfish/
-
Not many. Most Cowboys fans that I know, and I know a fair amount (unfortunately ), LOVE Parsons and thinks that he should be paid (just like his teammates do).
-
I did. Former team mate said he was the most selfish player on the team. Fans of the Cowboys say he is the biggest cry baby, refuses to play the run. Their defense is "10 guys plus 11 doing whatever the F he wants." https://www.reddit.com/r/Dallas_Cowboys/comments/1abmjxp/cowboys_micah_parsons_probably_the_most_selfish/
-
I'm not discounting anything, just stating the facts. No Cowboy, according to a Goog search, has ever publicly called Parsons selfish except Holley, and plenty of people in the know actually thought Holley was idiotic. We all know that DB is not as outspoken, perhaps brash, or "diva-esque," but he's also not nearly as impactful of a player either. You're basically saying that we shouldn't trade DB in this (purely hypothetical) trade scenario because he's a good choir boy. I don't agree. Parsons, for all his podcasting, is still arguably the most valuable defensive player in the game.
-
We had no problem with Peppers attitude until the end. Cowboys fans themselves talk trash about Parsons.
-
Come on now. Comparing him to AB or Odell is just not reality. I still don’t even know what these character concerns are people in this thread are referring to, nobody has actually given any examples or situations that happened
-
For reference, for the people who seem to not understand the context here, Panthers GOAT Julius Peppers was averaging 0.675 sacks/game through four seasons in his NFL career. Parsons is averaging 0.833.
-
That's a wild speculation. From what I have seen from our team, we avoid "me first" type players, and I am thankful for it. Not every team will sign a Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham.
-
Different time, different place. Every draft has its own dynamics, you know that. Moreover, picking an inexperienced rookie and arguably the best pass rusher in the game are two totally different things. 26 is young as hell. He's just entering his prime years. He hasn't even played five seasons.

Football is here! Chargers vs. Lions
LinvilleGorge replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Josh Allen is the biggest positive shocker I can recall. I've never seen anyone develop as much as he has as a passer. Dude couldn't hit the broadside of a harn at Wyoming. -
I don't think there is a single GM in the NFL who wouldn't make that trade, if given the option. DB is a very good player. Parsons is tracking towards a HOF career.
-
Totally fair but there were also Josh Allen comparisons knowing he would be a project. He is still young enough to develop
