  2. I feel that I'm Bryce neutral and it's definitely both sides. Threads absolutely get made when he plays bad (rightfully so) and when he plays good. He is the most controversial player on our team at the most critical position. Of course threads are going to be made about him after each performance good or bad. I think it depends on what side of the aisle you are own. You clearly aren't a fan of his so it appears like you are getting spammed with counter threads when he plays well. Some of the Bryce fans feel the exact opposite I am sure. It's sports and as fans our opinions will vary.
  3. Here's the text from Pelissero's piece... Panthers DC Ejiro Evero, 44: A former college safety at UC Davis who went to training camp with the Raiders, Evero has coached all three phases -- offense, defense and special teams -- and was well-regarded at each stop during his previous 17 NFL seasons, working under everyone from Vic Fangio to Dom Capers. He won a Super Bowl with the Rams and then got his first DC job in 2022 with the Broncos, whose defense was a bright spot in a frustrating season. Same with the Panthers' defense in 2023, before injuries decimated the unit last season. Evero's defense has improved this season (13th in scoring) on a Carolina team in the playoff hunt. He interviewed for eight head coaching jobs in the hiring cycles after the 2022 and 2023 seasons, earning second interviews with the Colts, Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks and Texans, and could be in the mix again. 2026 NFL head coach hiring cycle: 24 young candidates to know if you want another kick in the head, click the link and check out the first two names he mentions.
  4. I'm aware. That's why I said it will all depend on how he recovers. I could see him getting signed then going onto long term IR, risk v reward, but at a very low cost or he could just sit available as a FA. Hate it for him because he is a really good backup to have but Achilles injuries seem like the quick way to retirement in the NFL.
  5. He was featured in Tom Pelissero's annual "Assistants on the Rise" article. And not as an honorable mention either. He's actually the sixth name listed.
  6. The Bryce "haters" don't go around starting a bunch of anti-Bryce Young threads. They aren't unhappy we win. But after a win, the Bryce brigade is going to make 89 threads and tie every conversation into Bryce actually being good and needing the credit.... Dude is a roleplayer and spotty one at best but it can't be just that. like I have said, if people treated Bryce like the QB he actually was.....we just wouldn't be talking much about him and just enjoying the surprising wins in harmony overall.
  7. I read it. The point he was making (via satiric exaggeration in this case) is that some folks on here who could choose to be happy and celebratory about winning games choose instead to grouse about Young and his stats. Would you deny that?
  8. Doubt Ron would leave his gig w/ his alma mater to.....help Tepper out
  9. I think EE is walking no matter what happens. Tepper did him dirty and he isnt going to forget
  10. Well it was on JR but not for that reason. In 2009 JR fuged the cap to tag Peppers trying to force him to stay, or keep him from leaving. However you want to put it. That is the year Jake got that extension. That was totally connected IMO. Moving money. And you always reward the guy who will redo his deal, or traditionally that is a part of it. And why Peppers wanted to leave, well that could have been on JR too. I think this was after JR publicly called him out wanting him to be a leader. It didn’t go over well with Pep. That’s how I remember it anyway. Maybe there was more to the why of him wanting to go. It wasn’t money though.
  11. I think the idea would be to build that dominant line now but at the same time work on backfilling (most likely via the draft) with guys you believe can be future starters.
  12. mike mcdaniels would be a nifty addition but DC isnt going to fire his partner in crime
  13. Why would we want a 4-3 DE to come into this system? We really gonna make TH drop into coverage? All while paying him top dollar? In his 30’s? And he’s currently hurt?
  14. There's this Rivera guy I've heard of...
  15. ascend lol......Bryce was bad in 4 of the last 6 games. closer to the middle of the pack is still not the middle of the pack. It's below. Given Tilis is from KC, hopefully he is just saying the only things he can say and will be one of the good voices in house. He wasn't part of drafting Bryce.
  16. I don't think Evero is going to be in any head coaching cycles for the near future.
  17. maybe you should read it again, twice if you need to Posted 2 hours ago
  18. Likely unsustainable. Granted - half of our defense + all of our wideouts are making little money, so it makes it easier to extend Icky now. By the time we need to extend our current rookies/2nd years, most of our oline's contracts will be done or will be on their last year (should be a good cap savings cut if need be). I think they were smart with the 2 year extension to Moton - I doubt they keep him afterwards unless it's on the cheap. That gives us a chance to draft a lineman and develop them if we want.
  19. yeah, but you are still largely just playing a game here. Whether the example is Remmers, Rex Grossman, or any other weak link on team. I'm here to talk about what I think should happen. Not what I expect the worst org in all of professional sports will do. I would assume the safe bet is they will continue to make huge blunders and people (a portion of the fanbase) will cheer the mistakes on as they happen in real time. It's been SUPER easy to call the big mistakes of this franchise ahead of time under Tepper. Most hate it when you do it....until later on. In the end, people will talk about Bryce Young how they talked about Matt Rhule. And there were still EXTREME defenders going into his clear lameduck season.
  20. Don't doubt it. No one really asked whether he thought Evero would still be here next season. If he were to get a head coaching job, we could be looking to build around a different scheme. That could be interesting.
  21. If Dan Morgan rolls into 26 with the same qb room then that tells me he is a certified moron or tepper is still running the show. This isnt hard. Cut Dalton. Sign a vet. Draft a guy. Its literally that simple
