  1. Past hour
  2. That would be pretty stupid to willingly forego any potential return simply to have the personal satisfaction of firing a player you don't like.
  3. Thats what some of us has been saying. Just ride or die with Young as long as they can and deal with the consequences after the season. There is no saving the season if Young can't. If he cannot then it's a high draft pick in our future.
  4. Honestly, I would send a message to the team and organization and set the tone for the culture going forward by straight up releasing him. Wouldn't even bother trying to find a trade partner.
  5. You can find that in the draft. Being able to throw a football 40 yards doesn't make someone a good qb. If that's all you want Young can do that. Just because he hasn't doesn't mean he can't. I've seen him do it in college and even his pro day. For some reason he doesn't and im not sure it's all him. But even doing so doesn't make him a good nfl qb.
  6. I never said save this season or trade Young. I said if they weren't going to play Young and do last year all over they need another body. Dalton will end up hurt, Hooker can't play more than a few games without getting churned so if they do not plan to play Young again and just repeat last year then they need another body. Playing Young again would just be setting up the same outcome vs sitting him eith intent to move him after the year, something we do agree on. That's all. You can't have not playing g Young again without another body IMO. IF they intend to do all of that and no new bodies then just play out Young and get the best pick without sitting him.
  7. There's absolutely no reason to bench Bryce and start the QB carousel. What's to be gained? Try to save some of Bryce's trade value by hiding him away? I don't think that's a real risk at this point. And putting in another QB for a win or two before the wheels inevitably fall off will just hurt our draft position. No, you as an organization bet the farm that Bryce was your QB this year, so you stick with it. We need to see the ignominy of one of the worst #1 picks of all time, and I'd argue the worst trade in NFL history play out before our eyes. Just so there's no doubt. And then put an end to what I hope is the saddest and worst epoch in franchise history.
  8. So is BY. We thought Darnold and Baker were dogsh*t but a change seems to have made a difference. I'd offer straight across if they'd take it. Nothing to lose in reality. Maybe get lucky and he actually finds his potential or more than likely he train wrecks into the top 2 picks with Miami. Doesnt really matter either way, but I forgot what it looks like to see a ball sail 40 yards with the flick of the wrist from a Carolina QB. I dream of watching TMac catch a 60 yard in the air TD.
  9. We keep losing YEARS in a matter of minutes with decisions this FO makes. They are stacking up, and the hole is so deep I can’t even see daylight at the top anymore. Just start shoveling the dirt in on top of me.
  10. Yeah, and I've met Dave. He comes across as a good dude who'd thrive in PR (clearly). But his decision-making with regard to situational playcalling, like I said Sunday, is the coaching version of Young's. Just indefensible on so many occasions.
  11. I liked Hooker at UT. Also was amused that Brad Nessler would never solely say his last name. Always "HendonHooker" real quick on every dropback.
  12. I'm sure you will see him around the end of the season unless he's not showing anything in practice. He may not make it that long if he's not improving.
  13. Absolutely. It's a mix of things, and it's deserved. Which sucks because outside of their play on the field I like both. But at some point their play needs to reflect team investment. And it isn't.
  14. Canales has his own issues with his with preparation. Both his and his players. He got embarrassed against the Jags who made him look like an amateur.
  15. I don't disagree but I'd rather we at least see Hooker for a couple/few games at some point to see if maybe he's a backup in the long term.
  16. Young and Legette, justifiably, get the most blame on here. I like both, but yuck.
  17. Which is why Canales needs to be told he's canned unless he starts running the fuging ball on 2nd and 2 or 2nd and 1. Pisses me off so much to see Hubbard get 8-9 yards, then dial up a deep throw where nobody's open, Young forces it and gets sacked or picked.
  18. They don't need to do anything. There's 3 qb's on the roster and all are capable of getting us a high draft pick. There's no saving this season because the die has been cast and what will be is already in motion. Buckle up buttercup and enjoy the ride.
  19. Plenty of people were complaining about the D in various posts, too. Just it was specific players, like most of us complain specifically about BY. Wallace, Scott get plenty of blame...
  20. Its frustrating but there's only so much that can be said after week 1. Either way it seems pretty set that he'll be starting for the season so nothing really to do besides sit back and watch
  21. We are terrible enough that there is plenty of blame to go around. There's no shortage, no need to limit it to one side of the ball.
  22. Some will, some will never be no matter what. Its the nature of the world today.
