  1. I like Young and I'm glad he's turned it around and made some great strides in his passing game, his decision-making and his performances overall. Still, he's not a franchise-tier QB and never will be in Carolina -- no matter how cool it'd be for that to happen. He's deserved a win these last two weeks and has been let down by his teammates, but I still expect a 3-4 INT game every week. Maybe it's PTSD, maybe it's just been the inevitable being staved off, maybe I don't want to be optimistic because this team thrives on letting down those who are. Get a guy who can challenge him for the starting job next year.
  2. I'm just saying, Young needs someone who can challenge him. 2-15 and 3-14 isn't enough to earn undisputed franchise guy treatment, even if some of those 14 weren't on him. And XL can be a nice #2 for the Arlington Renegades in a year. Dude has a fun personality, but Young gets more out of throwing it out of bounds than he does throwing to Legette.
  3. Right and every time they win, the Panthers' draft position goes higher. Which would be cool, but it sucks because all these clutch drops, fumbles, missed kicks, missed tackles, missed blocks and missed throws that lead to excruciating loss after excruciating loss have a payout of... Dan Morgan making a dumbass pick at the top of the draft again. So, while picking high should be great, it's not, because it's not making the team better. It just makes it more embarrassing from August-December of next year. They need to take Tepper and Morgan hunting in April and throw their phones in a lake.
  4. Young needs someone to challenge him because he's still inconsistent and little. When he's on he can make plays, but only Dan Morgan would think anointing him as the unquestioned starter for a third year running would be smart. Even if you think he's the guy as a passer, he's small-framed and one hit puts you right back in 0-17 contention without a quality non-geriatric backup. I haven't watched much of McMillan but if he's here I'd have to assume he can't catch worth a damn as long as he wears a black and blue jersey, because the two things go hand in hand. Coker's a solid WR2 if he could stay healthy but he can't. Legette's a WR4 who doesn't need more than 1-2 targets/drops a game. Throwing to him is like spiking the ball.
  5. Let him improve on someone else's practice squad.
  6. I also thought this. Kind of goes back to my point about there always being a goat. Legette catches that and falls in, and it's still a 52-yard FG leading to a loss. While you'd prefer to have a WR picked in the first round who can catch more than one out of five passes that hits his hands, that's just not the case here.
  7. The odds on the Jags and Raiders winning another game are infinitely higher than the Panthers winning again.
  8. Need more pieces than can be acquired in one offseason, and need a different GM acquiring the pieces. - a QB to battle Young for the starting job - a RB to pair with Hubbard - three or four wide receivers to pair with Thielen and Coker - two tight ends - offensive line depth across the board - an entire new defensive line - an entire new linebacking corps - an entire new cornerback lineup - a K to battle Pineiro

  10. UDFA on IR>first-rounder who can't catch
  11. I'll say whatever I please.
  12. He's made some nice plays, no doubt. But he's had so many opportunities and so many colossal, game-costing or drive-killing failures that there's just no reason to consider him anything more than another Marshall, Jarrett, Mingo, etc. Charming accent and hands of stone for a first-round pick. That's Dan Morgan for ya.
  13. I would be, but then you remember who's making the picks, that he's got the No. 1 overall again, and then there's absolutely no excitement at all because there's 8-9 more UFL rejects coming here.
  14. Morgan will enter his second draft as a GM still searching for his first good pick, as well as his first decent pick. Right now all he's got in his arsenal is a UDFA who's made of glass. He's Fitterer, if Fitterer was an All-ACC LB for Miami who balled out for a couple years in the NFL.
  15. Legette showed more flashes early on, but it was fool's gold. He's more of a Dwayne Jarrett type.
  16. To be fair, every player needs to sell it. And he probably thought the ball didn't touch the ground because he felt like he had it cradled. But he didn't, it was incomplete, and his career absolutely peaked several weeks ago. He's barreling toward a Mingo/Dwayne Jarrett career with every snap.
  17. I'd love to share your optimism and either way I respect it, but this team is perpetually the 2007-09 Lions. Not the 2022 ones.
  18. Hurts' stats are irrelevant. He played against the Panthers defense. That's basically playing against nothing.
  19. He'll be on the waiver wire in two years and taking up a practice squad spot elsewhere.
  20. The future is as bright as a black hole, because there's always going to be a goat every week. Someone's going to blow it because the clutch gene doesn't exist with this franchise. QB, RB, WR, LB, DB, K, doesn't matter. It'll always be someone. Oh, and the GM sucks ass and couldn't pick a good player if he had the first three rounds to himself.
  21. I was really rooting for Legette to pan out and he showed flashes early, but he’s dogshit like every Morgan pick. 8-9 more bags of dogshit incoming next April!
