I like Bryce and I'm glad he's shown some good strides the last few games, but I'm all in on going QB in the first round. The Clausen comparison, which I've seen here many times, is hyperbolic to put it nicely. As bad as Young was last year, Clausen only eclipsed Young's overall QB rating for the season twice. His best QB ratings were 110, 90, and 76. Everything else was below 70 and most were below 50.

I think the tailgating areas, as far as being kid-friendly, are probably pretty subjective. I take Exit 4 off 485 toward Graham St., make a left at the light and just look for the best lots close to the stadium. Sometimes there are tailgaters there but who knows as far as kid-friendliness.

Well, here's to yet another wasted, 21-61 season. That No. 6 pick in next year's draft will look good on IR next year, too.

Who all went tonight? Crowd was pretty stout. The opening portion on the stage had a Q&A with Tre Boston, Adam Thielen and Brandt Bronico. Apparently it's been around for close to 15 years. Wasn't aware of that, but we went for the first time tonight and it was fun. It's definitely something you do if you have small kids (we do) so it was perfect. Got to meet the Topcats, get our picture by the tree and get gouged by slow food trucks (certified Charlotte moment). I tried to find info everywhere as to what was going to be there, and the team had to've been intentionally keeping it under wraps for some reason. If they'd have promoted food trucks, player appearances, photo ops with Sir Purr and Minty and a Topcats autograph session they'd have probably gotten even more people.

What's crazy is, didn't Mack offer to resign after the JMU fiasco? Now he kept fighting to not be forced to do the thing he offered to do (but probably didn't sincerely offer)?
-
Good luck with that. I'm not a "real deal hater of Bryce," I've given him plenty of credit where it's due. I'm glad you're excited about how he's played lately. I've been impressed, too -- but let's dial back the expectations a bit.

I don't want anyone to expect Young to play this well Sunday, because he won't, but seeing him do it against KC was great. He's made a lot of encouraging strides over the last few weeks and he deserves credit there. If he can lead the team to a couple more wins, he'll play them out of drafting his replacement. And if not, well, there you go.

Craziest damn thing from yesterday, bar none: Pat Mahomes: 7.3 YPA Bryce Young: 7.5 YPA Imagine the odds you'd have gotten on Young>Mahomes in YPA.
-
Had an awesome deep ball to Legette on the first drive, too. Probably Young's most impressive game, all things considered.
-
Hell yeah! No shutout and a good opening drive!
-
Block, wide left or right? I say block.
-
Oh man this sack-fumble will be epic.
-
Young's best throw of the year. Wow! Two first downs before the inevitable turnover!
-
Whoa, a good throw! I think we all know it'll be the only one, but hey 1 beats 0.
-
Hopefully Bryce won't throw more than a couple pick-sixes.
-
Sorry, 1940 Bears. Records are made to be broken.
-
Not bad! Made them go 3 plays. That'll be one of their longest drives of the day.
-
Oh boy, this is gonna be a blood-letting few have seen in generations.

Carolina may not "be sold" on young (per athletic)
Joe Bear replied to Champagnepapi704's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd put Beuerlein above Collins. If 1999 Beuerlein had 1996 Collins' defense behind him, that 8-8 team wins 12-13 games. Second-biggest takeaway from this, after looking at the stats, was how surprised I was to see Bryce Young enters this week ahead of DeShaun Watson in YPA. -
Who needs humbling? Literally everyone on this forum is predicting a 50-point loss.
-
I mean aside from injury or replacement, he's not putting up 25 or fewer passes. Every reason to think Dalton's playing the second half of the fourth.
-
Last good 3-4 team here was 1996.
-
There’s absolutely no way he throws fewer than 35 passes.
