  1. If you go read the Jets message board, you'd think they won the day. I guess it's going to be impossible to get the entirety of the story considering two fields are used and Panthers people will be Panthers focused. Looks like Rodgers had a great, great day overall in 7 v 7 but when the 1's played the 1's in 11 v 11, he would've hit the ground more than a few times. Can't find much on how Bryce Young fared though.
  2. Here is the thing, everyone wants it and they want it now. Receivers typically take three years and defensive linemen take two to three years. Both Marshall and Brown are going into Year 3 and both, thus far, are showing out in camp. So I'll temper my excitement a bit about them both but neither has had ideal coaching to this point and now they are beginning to flash. Surprise? No.
  3. Burns and Brown both got to Rodgers in the first 2 minute drill. That should have everyone excited, and Jets fans worried.
  4. One preseason game may not be much but his entire body of work through Spring and now Summer, in conjunction with his performance in his first game, says a lot. If it was a one off I'd agree with you but it's not. I also watched a lot of UCLA football since most of their games were the only thing on when they played and he was smooth, fast, making quick decisions with good reads and Arm strength. Doesn't get rattled under pressure and is a good leader. None of those things could be said about Malik Willis at Auburn, Liberty, or now with Tennessee. He may not have the mental processing of a guy like Bryce Young or the raw arm talent of a guy like Stroud but outside of those two, I find it hard to believe that anyone in the 2023 draft was a better QB.
  5. Dorian Thompson-Robinson was a 5 year starter at UCLA, played in a Pro Style offense under a former NFL coach, and has backed up his game play in practice. There is literally no comparison between Willis and DTR, other than an obvious one I have a feeling you're referring to here.
  6. I think Dorian Thompson-Robinson was criminally underrated. I know everyone here loves Bryce but after seeing DTR on Saturday, I wouldn't have felt bad had we traded down in the first to collect picks and then drafted DTR on Day 3. I think he has a shot to be a dude. Looked better than Watson did at any point last year and looked lightyears ahead of Mond. I know people are going to hate this, but it's much ado about nothing considering it didn't happen. So chill.
  7. What kind of report would you have liked to have seen?
  8. I've never popped a muscle before but I've seen that poo and I couldn't imagine the pain from that tendon snapping with what, four muscles attached? Dude.
  9. Burns body type is not something you see every day. 8 foot long legs. When he gets older, will he morph from Spider-Man to Daddy Long-Legs?
  10. So that way he doesn't get murdered like he did last preseason when he got 8 reps a practice and was expected to produce on 40 snaps in a preseason game?
  11. Look, the Broncos had Wade Phillips, Demarcus Ware, Von Miller, and a number of other dudes who were really, really good. That defense was nasty. Go back and watch the AFC Championship Game where even Brady looked like he was playing in Week 3 or something. They were dynamite in the Post Season and it showed.
  12. I know Clowney isn't what he thinks himself to be, but I'd love seeing him line up opposite of Burns. That would be fun.
  13. Is he wrong? We see the good QB's make throws in practice they won't make in games to see what they can get away with. However, there has been a significant drop off in performance between 7 v 7 and 11 v 11.
  14. We can keep three QB's now. He will be on the roster.
  15. You want to crown him before he plays a game. Why can't I show concern before he plays a game? All I said was that he hasn't done much when the full 11 v 11 period begins yet everyone here is comparing him to All-Time Greats and talking Super Bowls based on 7 v 7 numbers.
  16. Now lets see him do it in 11 on 11. He's been great in 7 v 7 but when 11 v 11 comes, it hasn't been nearly as pretty.
  17. It's not the hottest summer on record. I know you've been around here for a while but it hasn't been any hotter, other than one day last week, than any time in the past 10,000 years for Spartanburg. Law of averages. Now the lows are back down into the low 60's which is quite low for July and August. It's always 90 to 95 degrees and steaming this time of year.
  18. And this is the question right? Obviously the team is going to put out media saying Jones was just waiting on the right situation to present itself but coming off of a shoulder injury, as a linebacker, you know the real reason.
  19. Yet we somehow managed to go 17-2 with them? That's the insane part. If not for the Broncos defense, who used and abused everyone that year, we would've been fine. But that defense had two future Hall of Fame pass rushers and Wade Phillips, a Hall of Fame coach as DC.
  20. Still worried. Always worried because depth is an issue on every team and one or two mis-steps can lead to a serious issue in a league where inches wins championships. So, worried still. If Icky still gets beat on occasion like he was against the Bucs in the 4th quarter of what was effectively a championship game, or Semi-Final, we are in trouble. If not, great.
  21. I was far more impressed with Luvu last year than any time I watched Jones play. If he is good off-ball it does provide an opportunity to be more flexible in your play calls and how you manage to flip the coverages.
