  1. We could draft Baer Hunter out of App State to play Center. Just saying.
  2. Because Malik Willis is the next Ryan Leaf. Someone will draft him, but he can't handle the pressure. He's terrible. Please, do not draft Willis. Sign Mayfield, I don't care. But do not draft a QB this year.
  3. Nothing, he had the worst QB Rating under pressure in ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL LAST YEAR (or close to it). Good God, run the fug away man.
  4. I've been SHOUTING THIS FROM THE ROOFTOPS and no one here wants to listen. I've been screaming even louder to run away grom Willis and to never look back. I've literally seen many, many other QB's at the G5 level I'd rather have than him. Key amongst them is Bailey Zappe, Grayson McCall, Chase Brice, Levi Lewis, etc. Now some of those names you may be like "come on man", but that's the point. Willis is garbage.
  5. WE DON'T NEED A QB IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THIS DRAFT, FOR GOD'S SAKE PLEASE LISTEN. Malik Willis was quite literally the WORST QB UNDER PRESSURE IN CFB LAST YEAR. I'd take Howell, Pickett, Bailey Zappe, and Grayson McCall over him next year. I'd give Sam Darnold a god damn Patrick Mahomes contract before drafting Willis. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like Pickett or Howell in the 1st either. Give me Bailey Zappe in the 4th or Grayson McCall in the 1st in 2023.
  6. So I don't follow the politics of the USMNT closely. Is it possible that some of the guys you mention just couldn't get release from their clubs but it wasn't publicized? It is possible that they don't WANT to play on the National Team, for whatever reason? It seems to me that the U.S. is on the cusp of having one of their best men's teams in a long, long time considering the youth and performance thus far. Having McKennie, Pulisic, and Brooke's would give you three bonified European League players at all three levels.
  7. You're one person on a forum of a few hundred regular posters and readers. I've been here since 2011 and for some reason I don't recall seeing you post anything until now. Your opinion isn't worth a hill of beans in this arena fam. BET!
  8. Obviously he isn't going to be on the World Cup team. That roster is relatively set except for the possibility of adding a shot creator in the middle of the field. Bender is more of a winger like Pulisic so it's unlikely that they would be on the field together, even if he were to be selected. However it may be to the USMNT's advantage to have a guy like Bender so that Pulisic can be moved to the middle.
  9. What is the fit of Robinson and Brooks? I'd have to guess that there is something other than politics to suggest that one is better than the other in terms of their scheme fit in what he wants to see. It could also be that they are seeking development of this team for 2026, more so than having the expectation to win now.
  10. That's a pretty good line-up of international participants for an expansion team, I'd say. It's also far more than I expected a less than stellar MLS team to have. Personally, I'm not sure how long Ben Bender stays off of the U.S. team, even as a reserve. Obviously he's a Wing player and they need finishers in the middle but if he continues to develop he could he a real gem.
  11. I'm telling you guys, if we suck, we need to draft Grayson McCall in the 2023 Draft. There is no QB in the draft worth the pick that we hold and there are offensive linemen or even defensive players well worth the pick. Hell, I'd even be fine taking a game breaking receiver. Roll with Darnold, if he sucks or the offensive line isn't improved, you get a high draft pick again and you take your QB next year. Do not reach for someone who is nearly as old as Darnold but with a power ceiling and a much lower floor.
  12. Really? They contended a grand jury, they declined to charge him based on available evidence as GIVEN BY THE WITNESSES. What do you want? A public hanging and a 5 minute trial? What "rich" people haven't been held accountable? Hillary, Hunter Biden, John Kerry, John Kerry's son, Xi Jin Ping, the Mollah's, Saudi Grand Prince, who? WHOOOO? Low IQ is low IQ.
  13. Okay? Just being "better" doesn't mean much when you're talking about taking a guy in the Top 10. Willis CRUMBLED in those games. I don't even know that he is a one read quarterback because I rarely see him make reads. He drops back and just looks for open guys rather than throwing with timing and pace. Some team will reach for him based on his Pro Day and I hope to God it's not the Panthers. The pressure he faced against Louisiana and Ole Miss are what he will get weekly in the NFL and he was absolutely atrocious in those games. Line up McCall and Willis and tell me who you would rather have. Look at their statistics against similar competition. More specifically you could look at McCall's numbers against App State last year. App had a top quarter defense and it's comparable to Louisiana in terms of difficulty. McCall finished 15/23 for 291 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers with a QBR of 81 while playing on a high ankle sprain and bum shoulder. Malik Willis against Louisiana finished 14/34 for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns with two interceptions and a QBR of 19.8. That's a snippet but he was God awful and if some other team wants to reach and get him, let them.
  14. He doesn't have Mahomes arm strength but the accuracy and ball placement is next level. As an App State fan, I don't love Coastal but I love McCall.
  15. That line is kind of funny actually. I'm sure that when written it sounds bad. In the moment I'm sure it was meant as a joke. Furthermore, he coached at Florida and Ohio State, he would know if transcripts were messed with. There is likely some truth here.
  16. Willis buckles under pressure. I did not see him perform well against a quality defense in his two years at Liberty. Go watch his games against Louisiana, ULM, and Ole Miss. He was absolutely clueless. Give me Grayson McCall in 2023. Through two full seasons at Coastal Carolina he has 55 touchdowns to 6 interceptions and they've only lost 3 games. He set the NCAA Record for Passer Efficiency rating, absolutely obliterating Tua's by like 20 points. Has like 13 yards per ATTEMPT and just insanely accurate touch and intermediate throws. He can also run. Do not, I repeat, do not reach for Willis.
  17. I'd rather have Grayson McCall in 2023. Both Willis and McCall play G5 ball but one is significantly better than the other. Run with Darnold for 2022, go hard after McCall in 2023. If you can't draft McCall in 2023 it's because Darnold actually turned out to be who many thought he could be.
  18. Give me his rival in Grayson McCall in 2023. 55 touchdowns to 6 interceptions the past two years. Howell will be another Mayfield, if not worse.
  19. Go watch Liberty play ULM, Louisiana, and Ole Miss. God he was terrible in those games and I do not, I repeat, DO NOT, want Willis. He wilts under pressure and could not handle it at all in those three games. He doesn't read the defense, he doesn't react well to pressure, and when the defense is as fast as him, he folds. Give me Grayson McCall next year.
  20. I'd rather have Grayson McCall. Blew up Tua's QB Rating this year. He's going to be next level, similar to q Cooper Kupp bur at QB.
  21. His games against Louisiana, Ole Miss, and Louisiana Monroe are very concerning to me. That's the type of pressure he will face in the NFL and he CRUMBLED in a major way, all game long. Pass on any QB this draft. Go offensive line and draft Grayson McCall out of Coastal Carolina next year. That dude never crumbles.
  22. Better than Jim Harbaugh? Is that a joke? My how short Peoples memories are.
