I really think the whole trade up scenario is a pipe dream by some people who would rather have Stroud. Think this is a pretty good take on things By this point and this late. If they called up Houston, Houston is going to Know they probably aren’t taking the guy Houston wants, and that guy will be there at 2 anyways. And they aren’t trading out of the top 2, so no threat of trading with someone else who will poach that guy. Houston doesn’t seem to motivated to move up either. I believe it was Sheena Quick and possibly Joe Person yesterday who said no one has even called to inquire/offer to move to 1.

Manziel never had the pocket awareness, arm ability, touch, go through progressions, etc. he scrambled around and threw up balls to Mike Evans. Comaparing Manziel to Bryce is like Comparing Jameis Winston to Stroud.

Give me Keion White or Ande Andbowere. They can play 3-4 DE which is arguably as big a need. we signed the guy from Denver, but he is more of 3-tech Vs a 5i in the scheme which is the same as Brown. Deshawn Williams was essentially a run stop specialist and never was a threat as a pass rusher out there in Denver. White or Andbowere provides that interior pressure at the 5i (role you see JJ Watt and Calais Campbell play) where the QB can’t step up into the pocket. You could have 2 elite OLBs, but if the QB can step up 1-2 steps into the pocket. Those Edge guys just come up with near misses like we’ve seen with Burns.
