  1. No, No, No. If being a former 1st round pick and being shopped already isn't enough for you. How about we already have a nice young secondary that would mean we have to let someone go that could potentially help us later on. I like our CBs and think we have a bright future at CB. I would be much more interested in an O-Line man that might be available than a red flagged former first rounder.
  2. Unlike Little, Christensen is highly athletic. It's obvious that he has to step up and play with the big boys now and has some growing to do to get there. I'm in agreement that he probably won't see the field until the end of the season or next year. I believe he is worthy of his pick and will produce.
  3. Speed isn't the only attribute that we need. If Saunders or Zylstra has the ability to get open and make plays that is what should concern us the most. There have been many slow receivers that made careers in the NFL because they had a knack at finding an open spot on the field and producing first downs. If either of these guys make plays it's a plus for our offense. I would imagine we'll keep one of them on the active roster and the other to the P.S.
  4. Darnold has show the ability that he can run the ball. We've all see the highlights of him running the ball, mostly scrambling. I wonder how he would do in a planned run. Do you think Brady might install a couple RPO plays for Darnold? I know it isn't too wise being the state of our backup QB spot but having that as an option just makes this offense even more potent. I'm not implying Cam-esk runs but one or two per game would keep defenses honest. It's a conversation piece, I am not fully endorsing it, I just would be interested in everyone's opinion.
  5. While it isn't always a good idea. If the situation arises and you are certain you can make the throw. it could be the difference in winning or losing a game. Old video shows that Darnold has the talent to make that throw. Many superstar QBs make that throw everyday and twice on Sunday.
  6. From what i saw on ESPN yesterday It isn't all peaches and cream. He's been struggling.
  7. Honestly, I was shocked. The way they talked about him he was a shoe in for the UDFA steal of the year.
  8. Not every one. For instance, Moton, Scott and Erving at LT. These are legitimate options for us at LT.
  9. We have potential starters at all 5 positions. i would let Darnold start the 1st quarter and Rhule should let all those that could starton the Oline play at some point in the 1st quarter with him. CMC one series.
  10. You know during each thread on practices since preseason started there has been one noticable statement that I see. Darnold drops a dime to *****. You can insert whatever receivers name you want. It seems he's really throwing good passes. I know there have been some bad throws here and there but for the most part it seems Dime is the preferred term. I'm excited to see how he does in live action.
  11. Yes, Especially the OL. I am interested in Brown and Moore. Hopefully Reggie and Chuba show that they will be great depth for us at RB.
  12. Agreed but our depth is going to be important to us. IMO this preseason our depth needs to at least show promise.
  13. I watched the Dallas/Pittsburgh game and was really bored with the 2nd and 3rd teams playing. A lot of dropped balls and poor throws. I do believe Darnold will play more than one series in our preseason games. With so many new players how many series or quarters do the starters play. I hope that the players play better than the game I saw last night. The second and third teams looked terrible. I think the definition of a good team is the depth plays well. So if we play poorly will you be upset and angry or meh?
  14. I saw a video where Rhule was talking about Rod Smith was being tried at FB and that if it didn't work they would probably use the TE.
  15. It's much easier for a defense to provide press when there aren't pads on. It's great to hear he's playing well. Once he figures our his SpiderMan suit and all his weapons he's going to have a great year.
  16. Bell was a UDFA compared to Little in the 2nd. Bell at least tried.
  17. Just imagine if Hurney had succeeded in trading up into the 1st again. We'd have Little and we wouldn't have Brown.
  18. Does the waterboy count against the 53?
  19. I usually rely on you experts for comments but I believe he needs to get up to speed with the NFL and improve his techniques. I don't think he is going to be Little 2.0. All I've heard about Christensen was how athletic he is. If that remains the same. He'll adjust and improve. My $.02
  20. TB12 meet Brian Burns. Our defensive line is going to give him fits. We beat TB12.
  21. True but we're talking about the worst of the worst. Players that saw the field no matter how bad are not close to guys like Shelton, Jarrett and Edwards.
  22. Yes but Timmy B wasn't great and at least he started. He was also injury prone. Probably one of the only drafts I fell out of my chair when they announced the pick when Eddie George was still on the board.
  23. I remember hearing he wouldn't run with low pad level. Of course in the NFL if you run through a hole straight up, you'll ge straight up busted.
