DAVE did watch what I could (I work overseas and my stream is not the best) and yes I agree that those 1st halves were horrendous but who had the final say in the gameplan? Who's to say that Rhule said this is what I want us to do and give me a gameplan? After the 1st half McAdoo make his adjustments. You don't know precisely what happened, only an opinion.

Agreed a lot has been done. No, I don't think we can just slap a new scheme in one week. However, I do believe we have enough experience on this coaching staff that they can move us in a better direction. I go back to some of those tweets I saw in the post yesterday. We have players playing out of position or doing things that they shouldn't be doing. Especially on defense. Get some real NFL coaching and we might turn things around. I'm not saying McAdoo is a savior but he could get us going in the right direction. I just think if you are going to can Rhule than do it now and let those that are still here show what they can do.

Rhule and Tepper scheduled to meet at 1:30
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Jai.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Wrong. Rhule is the problem. When I saw the post yesterday with the tweets some of the players had made or supposedly said. It makes me feel Rhule has no clue. You fire Rhule now and give those that are still here a chance to show they can get this team headed in the right direction. -
We still have 15 games. We have a coach that was previously our DC and did quite well. We have an offensive staff that should be able to turn this around. Several of our opponents have their own issues that make these games winnable. Anyone that is going to give up so early, with or without Rhule, isn't much of a fan. With Rhule it seems hopeless but who knows if the light will ever come on. With McAdoo I think we could turn it around.

Ban is kind of extreme don't ya think. We have many posters that post more absurd comments than this and are still here. -
I'm not truly onboard with this. We have talent on both sides of the ball it just our leadership can't get out of their own way to get it right. Fire Rhule now and let McAdoo take over. Start playing NFL football instead of NCAA football.

Absolutely, we should have had our O-line starting line-up set from practice 1 and let those behind them show they were clearly better. You can't expect an offensive line to Gel in a matter of a couple of weeks. Rhule's insane "battles" cost us several weeks if not months for our player to get used to working with one another.

Dream HC/OC/DC Combination For Next Year?(Week 2 Edition)
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Asaria's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't help believing that McAdoo wasn'y hired in case we fired Rhule. If he were to get canned within the next couple of weeks McAdoo would be on a "show me" basis. I would let Snow go with him and let Wilks take over as DC. -

Is Tepper still trying to get Rhule to quit before firing him?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wish it were true but who the hell is MFLFootball? Tepper needs to wake up before the season is totally lost. Send Rhule packing along with Snow and let McAdoo take over HC/OC with Holcomb and Wilks take the defense. Maybe something can be salvaged. -
Can we officially declare TMJ a bust?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Baffles me how good he was in preseason last year and didn't do much during the season. This go around he was non-existent in preseason and a complete no show so far. It's one of two things. Either he is a total bust or maybe he's not getting along with this team. We saw the tweets the other day of many of our players not getting it as well. **Purely Opinion** I think he wants out of Charlotte and is trying to get back with Burrow and Chase in Cincinnati. I honestly thought when there were talks of trading a WR I was expecting us to have dealt him to Cincinnati. -
Everyone was so happy to get rid of Richardson and for some reasons rightly so. Tepper was supposed to be the savior and had many of us fooled that he was going to bring the same mentality of the Pittsburgh organization. IT'S NOT, not even close. Richardson would have pulled the plug last year but then again, we'd still have Hurney. For the life of me I cannot believe he doesn't feel embarrassed. I remember how when he got the team WIN was like his only expectation and WIN is the only thing we aren't doing.

I think Matt Rhule gets one more game
DaveThePanther2008 replied to PhillyB's topic in Carolina Panthers
These loses aren't because it was a great battle and we played well. We lost because we look like bunch of guys playing football on a Sunday morning. There is nothing going right and even with the addition of solid NFL coaches nothing is changing. This points that Rhule is NOT listening to those around him. Can him now, put McAdoo in charge and let him use the next 15 games as an OJT interview. -
Igo, any credence to this?

i hear next week Rhule is giving Mayfield his Carolina Letter Jacket with a big C and a football pin. -
Debatable. He was on some pretty bad teams but not because of him. Flutie was like Jake. He had an amazing competitive spirit that nobody wanted but had to have on their team. For a little dude he had a great arm. I know this has no relevance to the topic, but his Hail Mary against Miami is probably top 10 in NCAA football moments. What a game.
-
I am not arguing that but to speculate that we are already considering it after one game is BS. He showed that he can pull it together and get us back in a game we should have won. Getting us close to a win is not a sign that he's a franchise QB. If he plays well going forward and we start winning, of course, but at this moment in time. No one in the Panther Organization is leaning towards resigning him.

Tepper talked so much smack when he got the team. "All I want is wins" He talked about building a winning culture around here but the only culture he's building is Detroit South. It's embarrassing. Firing Rhule so soon would ruin his ego that he always makes the right decision. I think deep down he wants to let him go but then he would have to face scrutiny from the media as to why so soon. I think he hatss having to address that issue.

The refs throughout the league have a very bad habit of trying to inject themselves into the outcome of games. I saw way too many calls that should have been let go. Many calls of the same offense let go early in the game. Sometimes it makes me wonder if Goodell has his hand in the cookie jar when it comes to close games and what makes the NFL more prosperous.

Does 0-2 put Rhule’s seat red hot?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
We had a Cleveland team that was set up for a defeat, We have the last place NYG from the NFCE last year and three more home games against rival N.O. and Arizona, SF from the NFCW. If we come out of this 0-5 or 1-4. Tepper better pull the plug or we're going to see a riot in Panther Country. -

Phil Snow = Chip Kelly on the defensive side. I know Rivera had his moments but he was and still is a very good defensive mind. I remember saying to all those that wanted Riverboat Ron gone. Be careful on what you ask for. You just might get worse. I'd have RR over MR in a heart beat. Just as long as he leaves Hurney and Shula in DC. In our case, we got the bottom of the Barrel. Chinn and Burns will be up for contracts at the same time. We are going to lose one of them if someone doesn't get this clown out of Charlotte. -
Really great stuff. You analyzed it perfectly, Let's hope we see a gooa analysis from our coaching staff. Hopefully, Baker is smart enough to trust the play and see the whole field. He can't continue to let open receivers go without passes. Maybe he's not fully comfortable with the offense but he better get it quickly.

Seriously, why sign Bozeman at all if they plan to make him ride the bench. Could have used that money elsewhere and develop a rookie for backup center.
