I think what makes this one interesting is how this draft will fall out. No one is a clear #1. For us it will be how we handle our pick. Will we see a trade down and pick up a LT and still get a QB or will we sit at 6 and hope Sam has a better season. It's not as exciting as having 11 picks but definitely interesting.

Teams or writers will do anything to get a player to fall to them. How many mid-round teams would love to get there hands on Neal.

Trading picks, I don't see it. Trading a current player maybe. I seriously doubt that we'll value a player over Burns or CMC. Robby and a 3rd next year might work but I doubt we trade any active player.

Once again, Unless we trade down in the first we won't have a 2nd or a 3rd to offer for a 2nd round pick. No team is going to trade a 2nd round pick for a 2nd round next year. They'll want a first. IF, we managed a 2nd round pick we would have to give up a 2nd and 3rd and possibly more in 2023. That would put us in the same situation we are in this year.

I don't see us trading up in round 2 unless we trade down and pick up assets. A round two pick would most likely cost us a round one pick in 2023.

Not much to worry about that. Tepper has made it clear that we will not be negative in a trade scenario.

I would prefer to trade down and get a QB and LT. However, what if we decide to run with Darnold since we have upgraded our O-line so much that they feel he'll play better this year. Plus they may have decided to give Christensen a full year at LT. We drafted him to play LT, 2022 he should be given the chance. We aren't as strong on defense as we were last year and we could use another body to rush the passer or if Sauce fell to us. Team him with Horn and we'd have 2 shut down corners for the next 4 years. It also reminds me of the interview with Campen last week where he said there could be a solid LT in the lower rounds. Maybe we have a target for one of these lower round picks and would address the position then.

I think rolling with Cam would be better than rolling with Sam but that is just my opinion. Cam with a decent line is better than Darnold with a decent line.
