  1. Part of my view is I don't know what the Saints did today. I hope they won. Don't tell me, I get the opportunity to watch it later today on Armed Forces Network.
  2. The one sack I notice Christensen was engaged and a stunt was ran and the RB whiff (or wasn't even there) and QB1 had no chance. It also doesn't help when we can't run the ball and the D-line is pinning their ears back on every down. Rhule's ego gets in the way. No way his FA and vets could be getting burnt. He treats rookies like college teams did back in the old days. Freshman can't play the first year.
  3. Rhule is a control freak. Bringing in NFL caliber coaches would undermine his greatness. Not only is he not a good coach but he's terrible at developing players and IMO it's because the majority of his staff, mostly college coaches, don't know how to develop NFL caliber players. At minimum, I would like to see an entire new staff for the offense. Especially an O-line coach. If i were Tepper and Fitterer I would find the best offensive line guru and bring him here. Or at least one of their protégés. Rhule's not going to do that. Many have joked but I believe he will only bring in coaches that are "Yes" men to Rhule. And the only ones that will be are the ones that he worked with at Temple and Baylor.
  4. I don't know why all the poo on this thread. While Darnold hasn't look good neither has any QB including Cam. I'm not so sure any QB in the NFL would look good behind this line. The O-line couldn't hold up against a top tier college team. They can't open holes, can't hold blocks and Pass pro is atrocious. Darnold is the only QB under contract and even if we drafted a QB we are still in a terrible position as far as the line in concerned. Rhule is the problem. He doesn't play rookies unless he has to. Even if they are better than what is on the field. If we hadn't traded Arnold we probably wouldn't have seen Tremble. Hubbard would not have seen much time either had CMC gone down. Horn was probably the only rookie he was going to start and that was because he had to. You don't draft a 1st rounder to sit on the bench. Marshall looked great in preseason but has seen little action this year. I thought he would have been a stud for us. So while it isn't a popular position to take, giving Darnold the nod in 2022 is better than destroying a rookie QB. Our #1 priority this offseason, especially if we draft a QB, is to sign top tier offensive line free agents and getting an O-line coach that can get the best out of what we have. Moton, Christensen and maybe Brown would be a good start. Sadly Rhule refuses to give Brown a chance to play. He'd rather put MJ and Miller out their. It's impossible for me to imagine Brown could look any worse than those two guys.
  5. Furthermore, even if they don't get the #1 spot the higher the seed they'll have more home games before traveling to GB, if GB wins their playoff game. They have plenty of incentive. I'm more worried about New Orleans letting Carolina win. Payton has a way of screwing things up for us.
  6. As much as I hate to say it I hope Tampa embarrasses us. It is for the greater good. Rhule has shown he not ready for the NFL. I want Tepper so embarrassed that he cans Rhule before the clock hits zero. If the Panthers were showing some sort of moving upward than I would understand keeping him for 2022. We have only regressed to one of the worst teams in the league.
  7. Keep the negative media coverage coming. Tepper can't hid from it all. Rhule gotta go and everything we can get will help.
  8. This was my first game. I thought the stadium was going to collapse when Chad Cota intercepted Stewart to seal the win. It was the loudest I have ever heard any stadium.
  9. I was referring to Spark the Offense. With our terrible line there isn't one QB in this league that would perform week in and week out with it.
  10. I hate wanting to lose and when the game starts I will be pulling for the Panthers to win. That said, Tampa Bay and New Orleans needs to keep winning. Tampa wins out they could still get the #1 seed, so they'll be motivated. New Orleans is in a battle for a wild card spot. So they'll be focused. Unless our O-line somehow manages to do what they haven't been able to do since we started the season. I don't see us improving on our 29th ranked offense.
  11. Sorry but you could bring TB12 here and with this line he would struggle. Our line is worse than a wet paper sack. If the QB isn't getting sacked the defensive linemen are right in his face to block any short pass, which is all the time our QBs have to throw the ball.
  12. Absolutely Peter Angelos has been doing that with the Orioles for decades.
  13. Good Stuff I worry about this game with TB. They are severely short of playmakers but they are getting AB back which will help. It would absolutely suck if we pulled an upset and ruin everything. Rhule is on the hot seat and our best scenario is for Tampa to destroy us in our own back yard. Lions winning out would be awesome, Giants gave Dallas a hard time and could beat Philly. Jags and Jets I think are pretty much locked in ahead of us. Who knows with with the Bears. There defense is pretty good but just can't seem to get out of their own way on offense.
  14. Well it is nice to see that this is in the regular media. Tepper might not read the huddle but it is hard to miss the regular media. I'd like to see it happen before the early coach finding rule takes effect.
  15. You know I would be onboard with this IF we showed some sort of improvement from year 1 to year 2. This may be the 2nd worst team in Panther history. The ineptness of our offense is the offensive line and instead of finding offensive line help we trade and sign two CB that haven't really helped us. I just don't see us improving in 2022. It almost feels like we have 5 plays on our sheet and that's it. Teams know all you have to do is blitz the crap out of us and we'll fold. Our OC(s) have no idea on how to counter them and Rhule is oblivious to how to fix it. To me no matter what he does 2022 is another losing season.
  16. This is my point as well. We're not going to be anywhere near the conversation of the playoffs so why not allow the rookies you drafted a chance to play. IMO it is critical for us to know exactly what talent we have on the offensive line going into the draft. Brown and Christensen should be playing at their natural positions. It's not going to be as if we are putting them in front of Pro Bowl talent. Daley, Erving, Jordan and Miller just to name a few are not any better than Brown or Christensen.
  17. I thought the call for unsportsmanlike conduct after we stopped them on 3rd down was clearly a homer call.
  18. I'm ok with this outside of the O-Line. Firing Rhule should be #1. Depending on what falls to us in the draft. Preferably a QB. Where I differ from you is that we need to grab top tier offensive line free agents(Plural), not depth. Moore and Christensen can be the depth,
  19. We have plenty of talent on this team now. We need to focus on the offensive line. If we get some talent that could give our QB longer than a nanosecond to throw the ball we'll improve right away. If we get the right coach next year. We'll be at least competitive and maybe win a couple of close games and be in contention with the bubble teams.
  20. I liked Rivera outside of his love for Vets over the best player. Hurney was more of the problem and his love for hidden offensive line gems from Division II teams. Fitterer and Rivera would be an interesting combo.
  21. 2009-13 we did not have a winning season, however 2009 we were 8-8. 2018-21 we are below .500 every season. Time to make change. It's embarrassing.
  22. That has to be the most absurd statement ever. My 5 year old daughter could tell our line sucks and she doesn't even watch football. Cam took a beating and teams know how to play us. Stop 1st down run and bring the house on 2nd and 3rd and long.
  23. Well I am glad I am not the only one. I have been a diehard for many years but this is worse than any team we put on the field outside of 2010 and that was intentionally done by JR. I don't know how many explicatives I can come up with to describe our offensive line. And to make matters worse Rhule keeps trotting out Miller and Jordan as if they are going to improve. For crying out loud Jordan couldn't even make any other teams practice squad and we got him on the field. And we thought that Rivera's devotion to vets was bad. Rhule's devotion to playing inept players is far worse. He'd rather keep putting these slugs out there instead of letting his rookies play. They definitely can't be worse.
  24. He catches what is thrown at him. Can't say the same for our other receivers. Regardless, of what WR number they are. You don't have to have blazing speed to get open. I hope he's one to stay around.
