  1. Brady Quinn just reminds me of the dude from American Pie so much I can’t take him seriously. Mixed with that dude from the Christmas movie with Ryan Reynolds that same actor played
  2. You mean throw a couple dinks and dunks and run Rico Dowdle for 3 yards? Yup
  3. We will have to see, because I’ve seen a woefully unprepared team take the field far too often during the Canales era.
  4. Remove the big games by Rico Dowdle and I’d argue the offense is exactly the same as last year. The defense has improved a little which isn’t saying much considering they were the worst in the NFL last year.
  5. People are bitching about Zavala starting but the real atrocity is Nick Scott continuing to play
  6. I think every long time Panthers fan can see the season is over. With the hardest remaining schedule in the NFL with every game against a legitimate Super Bowl contender, the Panthers are done. Will the current win total with maybe 1 more win be enough to keep his job?
  7. Maybe the worst tackling defense in the NFL. They are getting held a LOT though
  8. Yea it’s over and the season is over. They are going to end 5-12 or maybe 6-11 with some meaningless last week win and Canales will pat himself on the back for improving their win total
  9. I do think it’s very likely they lose the rest of the games even with Bryce playing and it will likely be considered
  10. Is another 5-12 season going to let Canales keep his job?
  11. Of course Bryce is having an NFL level game and he gets hurt
  12. The Falcons are the ONE team Bryce has a winning record against!
  13. Anthony Hill from Texas should be in strong consideration to be drafted by the Panthers
  14. Low key Daniel Jones still the same, Jonathan Taylor is the reason that offense is excellent. Darnold and Baker though, lights out.
  15. Man that sh*t aged like milk, Tepper gotta just go sail his yacht to Monaco and leave us alone.
  16. If he's available he's probably at least able to move the ball with his athleticism as a backup. That's probably why he's hanging around in the NFL still.
  17. Nah Bryce can’t throw over 200 yards unless it’s garbage time so once the score is out of hand on Sunday we might see some stat padding. I think falcons might dust them
  18. He has as much influence as he wants to have. He's the owner of the team and he has shown he can and will fire literally anyone who works for the team. So to answer your question, he has infinite influence. Does he exert that influence? Who knows.
  19. Not upgrading the backup position this offseason or drafting another QB was just mind-numbingly stupid. And now they have to back-track a season too late to rectify it. Could have had a more concrete answer on picking up Bryce's 5th year option out of necessity, without having any other options on the roster.
  20. Sometimes GMs try outsmart everyone by picking a player they think has the physical tools and can be coached up but Legette is an example what happens when that doesn't work out. Teams that are already contenders with a full roster can take those chances. The Eagles, for example, could have rolled the dice on a guy like Legette. But the Panthers needed, and still need, to draft guys who are ready to play now in the first round. Legette wasn't that guy and there were much better options available.
  21. I compared it to Rivera because I never felt like Rivera didn't have the players ready to play and give their best effort. There's some exceptions to that but by and large the Rivera era Panthers played hard even if they were outmatched in talent or in scheme. I don't feel the same way about the Canales era Panthers. It seems like you said, they get down against better teams and they give up. And I agree, I think it boils down to the QB, and the lack of faith the team has in Bryce even if it's unspoken. With the Rivera era Panthers, they had Cam Newton, who had the talent to break open any game with his talent alone. Bryce is the opposite, the rest of the team has to keep the game close and hope Bryce will make something happen in the 4th quarter to win it. But for every great 4th down conversion and 4th quarter comeback he makes, he makes 10 awful plays to but the team in losing situations in the first place. The bottom line is the team doesn't believe in Bryce and they're never going to be able to recover from that. It's done. Bryce will never be the guy, it's over, and unless he walks onto the field as a different QB than he's been his entire career including college, it will never change. He needs to be on a team with elite talent at every other position to even have a chance to be a winning QB in the NFL and that's not what you expect from a #1 overall pick, let alone one that the team traded multiple first round picks to acquire.
  22. I didn't hold my tongue...I was out on Bryce LONG before he was drafted by the Panthers. Bryce's game did not translate well to the NFL. I vividly remember the 2022 Texas vs. Alabama game as the prime example of why Bryce would never translate well to the NFL. That was one of the best defeses Alabama played that season, a big chunk of players from that Texas defense are playing in the NFL now, and Bryce struggled all game. If Quinn Ewers didn't get hurt in that game, Texas would have won and the entire Bryce narrative changes. If anyone wants a reminder, here's the highlights of the game. He looks like EXACTLY the same QB now. Nothing has changed. Another thing about this game is it might have been rigged. This sh*t still bothers me. Young got sacked for a safety and the refs bailed him out. Should have either been intentional grounding and a safety or just outright sacked.
