  1. Bucs had a 6th rd ot who played in 6 pro bowls. I guess it could be done
  2. sorry if this was posted in all the pages I haven't read, but just saw this Sanders met with Giants who called him out for being unprepared, and then it "didn't go well" https://x.com/barstoolsports/status/1916149356345938297?t=GnC1wOu8xGTDyQS78fu_Rw
  3. from the Beast....I'll also post this in the Cam Jackson thread when it's posted STRENGTHS: ● Mammoth frame with above-average height, length and body thickness ● Solid athleticism and balance for a man his size ● Plays strong and can be immovable in the run game ● Improved use of length and hands in the run game for quicker sheds ● Heavy-handed with stopping power at contact, routinely handling double teams ● Uses height to his advantage and rarely loses sight of the football ● Wide tackle radius to swallow up runners and finish with throw-down violence ● Played penalty-free football in 2024 ● Coaches say his leadership voice got better and better over two seasons in Gainesville WEAKNESSES: ● Below-average pass-rush impact ● Streaky snap anticipation — doesn't gain much ground with his initial step ● Creates pop at contact as a bull rusher but doesn't consistently drive blockers backwards ● Gets upright quickly, which weakens his base and zaps some power ● Needs to improve consistency, staying square in the run game ● Plays hard but doesn't have much range or closing burst outside the hashes ● Gets out of control at times, leaving him overextended at the waist ● Combined for just 18 pressures on 321 pass-rush snaps in two seasons with the Gators SUMMARY: A two-year starter at Florida, Jackson was the nose tackle in co-defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong's scheme, playing primarily on early downs (averaged 28.8 defensive snaps per game over his two seasons in Gainesville). After his full ride to LSU fell through, he earned Memphis' attention before finally making it to the SEC as a dominant run defender with the Gators. A massive human (you don't need to know his jersey number to spot him on tape), Jackson occupies space and is able to eat up double teams to keep linebackers clean behind him. He flashes power to big-boy blockers but doesn't consistently sustain and collapse the pocket, which limits his role on sub-package downs. Overall, Jackson has a shallow toolbox as a pass rusher, but he is a solid athlete for his size and a tough player to displace as a two-gapping run stuffer. Regardless of scheme, he offers value as an early-down NFL nose who can anchor and eat up blocks. GRADE: 3rd-4th round
  4. both NFL Network and ESPN just took long commercial breaks...we might miss our pick being televised. got to end sometime
  5. here we go! 5th rd, 2 picks and we're on deck
  6. we pick second after this last 4th rd pick
  7. I thought we were looking for a free safety, he sounds more like he'll be playing closer to the line. 4.53 40 time, so he's got some speed
  8. after the Falcons pick is announced (it's in) only 3 more teams till us again. Hoping for a free safety of DT
  9. I wanted Stutsman. one more reason to hate the taints
  10. didn't know he had a Blind Side kind of story growing up. Didn't know a lot about him other than a lack of production with all that athletic ability, but we'll find out. Welcome Nick
  11. don't worry, plenty of good edge in this draft, we'll get the one we want very soon
  12. that's 2 tackles....run on edge has to start soon
  13. also, if you have forgotten, Chuba will announce our pick this rd
  14. now about 16 or 17 picks left before us less pick value
  15. let the offensive picks continue for many, many more picks
  16. I did laugh this morning when I got up and Sanders did indeed fall out. And I love the way the NFL bitch slapped Deion after he said they were going to pull a Manning to get the team they wanted. He may scare some college football folks, but he just learned he has zero power in the big league
  17. looking for reasons to like the pick....our QB and both WRs can get the extra extension year if we so choose. That's important. Now after Bryce gets his deal (which should not be a record setting one) we may have to choose which WR to extend, but we have 4 years of a cheap trio at expensive positions. good to have that core together for that many years.
  18. may have been mentioned before, but ouch Adrian Peterson was arrested for DUI last night after leaving a Minnesota Vikings draft party. Got caught doing 83 in a 55 and blew a .14. https://x.com/CrimeWatchMpls/status/1915744064764272686
