  1. how much turmoil have we seen? Last line is crazy Darin Gantt @daringantt · 5m Have I mentioned lately how relieved I am as a human being, to care about neither Aaron Rodgers on the Pat McAfee show, nor where Tyler Shough might fall in somebody's mock draft? For the first time since 2018-19, the Panthers are bringing the same coach/GM/QB back. https://x.com/daringantt/status/1912947083608289381
  2. one week from today we will have our newest Panther
  3. Saints are scambling for a qb, and their fans are pissed the Carr news was held until after the season ticket ticket deadline.
  4. here's an interesting scenario....Sanders falls to us and no one wants to trade with us except the Saints (they don't know no one else wants to move up). Do we trade with a division rival? The trade chart value is a late 4th to move up one with us....if they are desperate, they might offer a third, possibly a 2nd this year or next....do we do it? Or do we decline and let them get him anyway with the next pick? QB is a crap shoot....he's fallen some on a lot of boards, but he could be their long term starter
  5. lost the original....very interesting news out of New Orleans....not sure if he's really hurt or just doesn't want to play there. But check out the cap hit if they make him a post June 1st cut https://www.nfl.com/news/saints-qb-derek-carr-dealing-with-shoulder-injury-availability-for-2025-in-question https://www.nfl.com/news/saints-qb-derek-carr-dealing-with-shoulder-injury-availability-for-2025-in-question
  6. last year someone did, hope they're still here
  7. interesting https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/04/jalon-walker-to-visit-browns
  8. ouch. I remember pickles sitting there for the whole first round. painful
  9. Steelers says they are signing Rodgers. Won't prohibit them taking a QB though.
  10. also, Verge should be here fairly soon, posted this a few hours ago Natalie Miller @Nat_NFLDraft · 4h Top 5 IDL in the 2025 NFL Draft: 1. Mason Graham 2. Walter Nolen 3. Kenneth Grant 4. Derrick Harmon 5. Shemar Turner
  11. there's also something to be learned here. In the last few years, Atlanta has drafted a TE and a RB in the top 10. Earlier in the year, Allgeier had more yards than Bijan. And the TE has under performed and doesn't seem interested. I don't like spending Top 10 picks on those two positions. Run CMC paid off as a top 10 pick. Not all running backs do. And we have a segment who want us to take a TE this year at 8. Admitted, Warren does more than Pitts, who was supposed to be a major matchup problem with his speed and height. Maybe he could be with a better OC and QB. Every pick is a risk. I'd rather take that risk on a position that affects the game more. Exceptions granted for the right guy. Warren may be that guy, but I want a playmaker like Jalon or a trade back.
  12. I like Winston a lot Need to see if he can cover. I was hoping for him later in the draft though. We'll see. the NFL.com draft has us not adding a rusher in the first 2 rounds, that's concerning
  13. there is a chance Mason Graham could be available. Long shot, the Patriots are hosting him. However, they really need a LT. Their choice will be interesting
  14. I'm with you. Even an extra 3rd would help. None of the players you listed are elite though. Sadly there are very few of those in this draft, but there are a lot of good players in the late first and into the second. We need to realize that we can't get all our needs in this year's draft. We know we need some sort of edge, a safety, and I feel we need to use one of first 4 picks on a CB, preferably 3rd at latest. And I want to draft an OT in 3rd to learn behind Moton this year. The extra 2nd would be huge. 2 things Bear Hands has noted in other threads, we can get a rusher in the mid rounds of the first, and if a good LT is available at our pick we should be able to get a deal. I'm ok. If the media takes are close, trading back to around 15 should get us a second, and since our second is near the end of that round, getting one earlier opens up a whole lot of opportunities. Either way, Canales builds his infrastructure with this draft. Next year, with all our picks and probably picking somewhere between 10 and 15, we can get real stars. All of this depends on hitting on picks this year.
  15. The Carolina Panthers will host a joint training camp practice for the third consecutive summer. The franchise, entering its 31st season, will host the Cleveland Browns in Charlotte for a single joint-practice session ahead of Week 1 of the preseason The Panthers will host two home preseason games this summer. Canales, who plans to play the Panthers’ starters during this upcoming preseason, has a relationship with Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. Both head coaches wanted to create a competitive simulation without risking heavy exhibition workloads for their top performers. 'we both plan on playing our guys in the preseason. “And so we said, ‘If we’re not going to play them the whole game, why don’t we practice a couple days before and get a little bit more work out of it, knowing the rest of the group is going to finish out that game?’ https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article303167841.html#campaignName=charlotte_breaking_newsletter
  16. The Panthers have been linked to several defensive prospects regarding their top pick in next month’s draft. The team will look into at least one first-round receiver prospect as well, however. Tetairoa McMillan has a top-30 visit lined up with Carolina, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. The Panthers have already drawn connections to South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori and Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams, and selecting either on Day 1 would not come as a surprise given their need to improve on defense. Without having made any receiver additions so far this offseason, though, drafting one could also be in play. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/03/panthers-to-host-wr-tetairoa-mcmillan
  17. think we're interested in him as a returner Mike Kaye @mike_e_kaye · 1h Former Clemson/Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow did visit with the #Panthers Wednesday, as a league source confirmed and as @RapSheet & @TomPelissero said. He spent 2023 out of ball. The 29-year-old has quite a bit of punt return exp. Also, 269 rec for 2,884 yds & 17 TDs in 5 yrs.
