  1. half of me was holding out hope that he wasn’t just going into house of balloons to transition into the next part and we’d hear him go into glass table girls bc that beat slaps
  2. i got really invested during the 2005 season and started looking at message boards for insight, since i don’t live anywhere near the carolinas and panthers coverage (let alone games) is really hard to come by in my area. eventually after being saturated with deeper knowledge, i started forming my own opinions, and from there it got to the point that i felt the need to voice them, and made a decision to register to one and shake things up. there were several panthers boards floating in the ether but i had it narrowed down to two. it was either the huddle or thisboardrocks.
  3. greg hardy wish somebody would come in here and give us regular updates about what he’s up to from time to time
  4. i’m relieved tbh the worst thing that could happen is a coach falls in love with one of these QB prospects and thinks they can develop them into the next drew brees and at a bargain
  5. god forbid this organization ever does something like that the way this community beats off over panthers first round picks
  6. article reads like the person who wrote it has to work themselves up to make eye contact with the barista when they order their Pike Place™ with almond milk
  7. while agreeing with most of what you said, how do you say the game isn’t rigged when these brokerages are literally prohibiting regular joes from buying GME on their apps... but they’re still able to sell it? if you can sell it, there has to be a buyer, but if you can’t buy it on robinhood, or any brokerage that apparently uses apex clearing, then there is some behind-the-scenes horse poo happening, bc somebody out there is not happy their hedge fund lost billions bc a bunch of internet trolls got wise to their bullshit, and has a lot of strings to pull at their disposal to put a clamp on the losses. idk how long the chain of ball squeezing goes, but a small group of ppl in this world are squirreling away all the wealth to control for themselves and have been manipulating the markets with hedge funds and shorts for decades, whilst not producing or returning anything of value to the world. and i don’t think they’re centralized like a round table of villains with slicked back hair and eye patches, but their wealth addiction is bleeding the rest of our society dry. GME, a struggling corporation but still incorporated nonetheless, is like a hapless rag doll to these machines.
  8. i bought all this panthers bullshit at party city and the panthers were all dressed up with nowhere to go when time ran out in regulation btw the mylar balloons at party city are top quality poo. that balloon i bought there floated long after the panthers’ playoff hopes went down the tubes in the 2016 season
  9. this capacity still sounds dumb not as dumb as anointing him your GM, but still dumb
  10. a boss asks his underling to do something really stupid or possibly illegal in a business sense and instead of asking “why are we doing something that would kill our business?”, marty’s the guy that goes, “sure thing, i’ll have it done before the end of the day” i can’t relate to anybody who sees him as a sympathetic character
  11. IT IS COMPANY POLICY THAT WE DO NOT PAY FOR OVERTIME
  12. ugh it reminds me of 24/7 “hustle” culture
  13. stockholm syndrome also this guy’s take is very inaccurate. i 100% haven’t believed in hurney as a GM since that horrible AZ divisional game in january 2009, and that was a few years before ron rivera’s name was ever associated with this organization
  14. without getting into contract numbers, i don’t see why anybody would forbid moving CMC to get watson you’re trading for a QB who, at only 25 years old, already has two seasons of playoff experience and a win under his belt, has put up huge passing numbers at the highest level of competition, and is already developed unlike drafting a QB in the first round which at 8 isn’t even guaranteed that we’re going to get a good one. ....and we’re freaking out bc it may cost us a guy who’s probably never going to hit 300 carries in one season
  15. especially when almost every team is running nickel formation as their base D, bc 3 WR sets are so common hurney mixing and matching back there was never going to give us the depth we need to compete in today’s league
  16. i hope redskins fans like hearing “we needed more depth at RB” after their first round pick ”we had a first round grade on him” after their second round pick ”we think we can convert him to safety” after their third round pick “we traded up for an H-back” after their 4th round pick year after year
  17. a huge part of ron’s downfall here was that he never looked outside the organization for solutions for staff vacancies; he promoted from within too many times. eric washington was a great DL assistant but he did not have the chops to be a good DC. ditto for shula, who was an unimaginative, mediocre OC at best. this seems to follow that approach
