  1. Dak's injury is a huge wildcard (and he throws INTs at the most inopportune of times)! And he likely still wants an insane amount of money, which was a big turnoff in the first place! Hard pass!
  2. I'm showing that KC's overall defense was ranked higher than San Fran's in 2019 (as well as their offense), perhaps you're looking at passing defense, but whatever. You should know that nothing is absolute! The Bucs' defense was lights out, and that's why they won against a historically good offense!
  3. That's what I think about Bezos, the Waltons, and all the other M-F-ing oligarchs who control the plutocrats in government like the McConnells and Pelosis and all these bitch motherfugers willing to spend money on Corporate welfare & idiotic trickle-down economics, but refuse to look at the bigger picture and let the little man suffer. But...this is a digression--a rant! Brady has basically always understood the greater dynamics that you have to give some to get some, and that just may be why he's a seven-time champion, and has been in 18% of the Super Bowls.
  4. Saying offense is greater than defense is subjective, especially in light of the fact that every champion since 2013--part of this era where the NFL has went out of its way to protect QBs and receivers--has had a top 10 scoring defense. You obviously don't usually win a championship if you don't have any offense at all, but take two teams which are prolific on offense, the one with the markedly better defense will win! Point blank!
  5. Here is another fun fact: teams with top 10 scoring defenses win the Super Bowl. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/nfl/talkoffame/.amp/nfl/scoring-defense-the-key-stat-for-super-bowl-contention
  6. O-line is very important, but one thing that Marcus Spears pointed out is that after like the first (or second) quarter of the Bucs loss to the Chief's during the regular season, Todd Bowles' defense basically stopped KC, and that was with all their starters.
  7. It may hurt a little bit (or not). They got run over by a steamroller! Reid made a very risky call by calling a timeout and giving Brady time (which proved to be a nail in the coffin). Bienemy should have been more patient with the run. I still believe they would have lost though. The Bucs had their number since the second half of their regular season loss. Give Bowles credit for adapting and attacking the Chief's strength (quick-striking big plays) head on--with/while playing to the strengths of his superior playmakers, I might add--and ding Reid and Bienemy a little bit for refusing to adapt, but the Chiefs weren't winning last night regardless!
  8. In reference to the QBs, I don't know if the HC and GM look at it like that. I don't necessarily think that they're just going to essentially say, "Let's take whoever is left," especially if the kid they really want is available at 2 or 3. Furthermore, they may not even believe in the guy that's left. If they can't get their guy, then they should probably trade down or go BPA.
  9. Yes he did, but there are other young players to keep an eye on. Antoine Winfield Jr. Is the truth, and Sean Murphy-Bunting isn't bad either. The old heads still have something in the tank also. JPP is still very disruptive, as is Suh. And Lavonte David is as solid a linebacker as he's ever been.
  10. There's not just one way to win a championship! Since there hasn't been a trade for the likes of a Watson ever, we don't know if that can work or not. People were saying that building through the draft is the only way to win a championship. Don't get me wrong, that's largely the case--and we have drafted some good pieces the last couple of years--but the Bucs proved that adding quality FAs (though aged) can fill out a championship puzzle as well.
  11. I tried to tell people that Brady wasn't washed. I guess they believe it now. Their offense started off slower than their defense, but both gelled and became dominant as the season progressed. The defense, in particular, was lights out when it was time to put Mahomes to bed for the 2020-21 season! Like I told Zod earlier in the year, Devin White is a boss, but Winfield wasn't too shabby either. Our defense can be that dominant with a few key pieces! We're going to have to be to beat Brady and the Bucs. On offense, a franchise QB would do wonders for us. It's just a matter of time.
  12. This draft is pretty deep, so I suspect that Fit will do some damage.
  13. Anderson didn't falter, Bridgewater's inability to play to Robbie's strengths was what slowed Robbie down. I saw it too many times! Romo even mentioned it one game: Teddy threw the ball to Robbie too late in the route! If he could have timed his throws better, Robbie would have been open for more scores and more YAC.
  14. If we can keep people healthy, get a corner, safety & MLB that are worth a damn, our defense starts looking championship worthy. That's my opinion.
  15. Yeah, that's a pretty blatant omission. But...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. I think that officiating will prove to be an excuse only on message boards.
  17. I saw bad defense on one side, and outstanding defense on the other. On an off note, I saw the Chiefs get away with several obvious holds. Blaming the refs in this game is weak! It takes away from an extraordinary defensive performance. That's just the way I see it.
  18. The more complete team wins championships! It just so happens that the one with great defenses usually wins!
  19. They really didn't though. Nate Burleson was sounding like a hater.
  20. This is poo! More like a popularity contest!
