Shenault has issues tracking the ball; that's why most of his catches are near the line. That puts a hard ceiling on his game. Mingo has no such limitation, and that makes his ceiling a lot higher. Honestly, Mingo is a better route runner as well. That being said, perhaps they'll both find a role (between the rotation and special teams). Of course Mingo was picked by the current administration...

This is not a lecture. Barrett will never ever see this. It's more like advice to others. I have personally had to watch out for kids whose parents weren't paying attention, and at least in one instance I have been directly responsible for avoiding a death of a toddler. If you're watching your kids appropriately, then the chance of something happening to them on your watch is greatly decreased. I have seen it in action.

Yep. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. You're never going to win it all without taking risks. Henderson presumably has one more year to figure things out. He just has a little more motivation.

Young people, you have to watch those babies like a hawk. You really do.

You don't know that "Corral sucks." It's just something easy to say. It's in poor taste to say that given the entirety of his experience in the NFL. As far as making Corral give his number away and whatever kind of other bullshit some of y'all are espousing, professional franchises don't operate that way. Teams don't operate that way. Neither Tepper, Fitt or Reich operate that way. Young doesn't operate that way. Thank goodness!

I'll take the upside of Mingo (and Johnson) All Day Long.

Round 3 - The Carolina Panthers Select DJ Johnson - EDGE - Oregon

They obviously knew the Bucs wanted him. -
I heard 190 more than any other number.

Dave Tepper has become a major asset for the Panthers

So you zeroed in on that too. Well, if it makes you feel better, we did go out and get some value at the receiver position. Sure, one is nearing the wrong side of 30, one has a huge question mark regarding injury history, and another hasn't actually played lights out (but didn't have too due to superior talent in front of him), but unlike the Gettleman era, we haven't been barrel scrapers now that Fitt's on the job. Add in Sanders and the potential of TMJ, as well as depth at RB, we should have a credible offense. I will be disappointed if we don't add another pass catcher though. At the end of the day, Fitt ain't Dollar Store Dave. And I don't think Tepper (or Fitt or maybe Reich) are just going to sit on their hands of the offense shows obvious shortcomings season after season. -
Which team ‘won’ round 1 and which team ‘bombed’

Kinda makes sense. The Eagles were definite winners though. -
I'm going to hate playing the Eagles in the conference championship.

I disagree. No trade up is needed. TE is deep. There are also WRs we can get later also. I doubt Washington will be gone (hell, he may last to three). We also picked up Hurst and have TMJ. Let the draft come to you, unless Mayer is somehow available tomorrow.

Well, fug. I knew Kincaid was a pipe dream.

So much for Houston being stupid, huh?

I mean, sure, if you want to look at it that way. QBs are going to get paid, so if you have one that's actually worth a damn, you had better do some good budget planning. Their salaries are not going backwards.

Mike Kaye on possible trade back into 1st round
top dawg replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Possibly a TE, I'd think. -
"When" he's the pick tonight.

I was told that the Ravens didn't want him by a few Huddlers. They always wanted him, like they stated I might add, it was just getting the numbers right in order to make everyone happy. I bet it's at least 190 guaranteed.

Well, what was the Under Armor thing about?

Th 6’2 prototypical QB is a myth, look at the shotgun percentages
top dawg replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Absolutely no one said that he is immune. What QB is? Uh, not one! -

Just take it all in stride. If Young gets a hangnail or bloody nose, there will be some of that regardless. Count on it. -

If Bryce, specifically, can get through his first year without anything major, I'm not going to worry about him anymore than I normally do about any QB. It sounds like some of y'all are saying that you're going to worry for years simply due to his size. To each his own, but I think that's kind of holding him to a higher standard than anyone else. I mean, any QB can and will get hurt, it's just a part of the game, but as long as they come back and play to expectations, that's what I believe that we should be looking for. Hell, Cam got fuged up and was never right again. Brady got hurt, came back and continued a stellar career. Tua came into the league hurt, and has been hurt repeatedly. Burrow got jacked up and returned apparently as good as new. If Young proves game his rookie season, then I'm not going to inordinately worry about him anymore. It's kind of like a prove-it deal for me (and probably a lot of people). After that, it's just football.
