  1. Well it sounds like you have a textbook case of valuing draft picks too much. Probably overlaps with a desire for having lots of cap space.
  2. you know what this team could really use right now? the star players it’s already traded away
  3. the first Luvu sack was all Burns.
  4. Theilen will probably have a couple decent games against some softer zone teams. when we have teams that have the talent to lean heavy man though, it’s going to be ugly.
  5. The receiving corps as a whole was better with Moore, yes. also your premise is flawed, you cannot compare 2-4 seasons worth of production to a quarterback making his first two career starts, that would be illogical. you didn’t draft Young for this season and unless you’re prepared to take a guess as to how the offensive skill positions on this team look a few seasons from now then the comparison doesn’t work
  6. Well it remains to be seen if we actually upgraded our coaching staff but I’d certainly like to believe it i don’t think your point actually holds much weight though, it isn’t as subjective as you’re making it. The physical evidence is there. marshall had multiple chances versus Atlanta with well placed balls that he simply did not make a play on. Believe it or not he was actually in a jersey last night. you can watch for yourself and see the issue. He hasn’t tracked. He probably isn’t a fit for this offense. He’s a bigger body guy who wants to get down the field and make a play on the ball. Not a lot of short area quickness, or even awareness it looks like. Not a fit for what we do now and not a fit for Young’s skillset. probably will be traded for a late or conditional pick if I had to guess
  7. I mean I don’t know how many different coaching staffs have to signal that Marshall isn’t getting it before you start believing them, especially after the falcons game
  8. not every team is going to have the horses to go as heavy man as it looked last night I noticed some disguised zone looks late (probably) once we couldn’t waste much time motioning guys but by and large it looked like a lot of just lining up and playing defense and we could not get free downfield Yount probably did overcompensate a bit after throwing two ints versus Atlanta and wanted to protect the football, but down field was abysmal. Saints DBs were in hip pockets the whole game i imagine they’ll probably jump up and surprise someone though when we don’t expect it. Face a team that isn’t as stout in the secondary and it’ll be easier sledding. absolutely no interior push on the OL either, sure glad we got Corbett hurt in a pointless game just so Steve Wilks wouldn’t sue us
  9. you can’t just “throw one on up” to any individual whose managed to fluke his way into being on an nfl field
  10. you’ve gotta understand, people here get really attached to certain things and thus diminish others. The bengals passing on penei Sewell for jamarr chase was treasonous. The saints trading an extra 1 for a wide out is laughable. they genuinely cannot process what you’re saying. Shouldn’t a strong running attack mean you can save money at receiver? What if we just like played with more grit?
  11. yeah I can’t really evaluate Young. There’s legitimately nothing there. More concerning though is that it isn’t just talent, they were incredibly, incredibly vanilla in the first half. They opened it up a bit in the second half but the athleticism at the WR position was still an Achilles heel and once the dam broke at CB-probably for good as it pertains this season-the game felt out of reach even being down by just a few. Failing to connect on the big Mingo pass was probably a potential game changer, but honestly you’ve got to try teams down the field more than that second game in a row where we’re sitting here talking about that *one* missed opportunity in the passing game. i suspect this is probably an extension of training camp and Young and the receivers haven’t developed good timing with one another down the field. Young is used to throwing to guys a lot faster than terrace Marshall (who did absolutely nothing last night) which would explain why these passes are just a bit long
  12. I kinda had the same feeling roll across my mind but there’s got to be someone of near equal value and I’m not sure who that would be. also Michael Pittman is currently not under contract with Indy next season
  13. I don’t know how y’all get by each day being this hysterical how do your wives deal with having to be the man of the house
  14. yeah as I mentioned in the other thread Posters saw the crisis at CB coming. Jackson had predictably lost his burst. It was never fair to expect him to be 100 so soon. Horn predictably got injured. Henderson predictably has been unplayable. Fitterer didn’t see it coming
  15. Jackson doesn’t have the same top end speed after the Achilles. Horn has been injury prone. Henderson is a liability This was all predictable. Laymen saw it coming. Fitterer didn’t see it. time to move on.
  16. lot of people laughed at New Orleans for trading a first for olave elite wrs change games
  17. It’s not on the QB. The routes aren’t being run. The plays are not being called.
  18. There’s not a single player on the roster who can make the kind of play Olave made
  19. entire offense is just short and intermediate mesh intermingled with some ineffective screens. there’s no clear out routes, no seam beaters, idk if they don’t think they have the protection up front or what, but the box is loaded and they keep sending backs and receivers running right into it
  20. What happened to Shenault out of the backfield
  21. there’s nothing open. This is brutal. Everyone looks slows.
  22. Go back and watch Sanders with Philly and it’s basically just him running through wide open gaps and falling down at first contact
