  1. The coaches have yet to even get involved in the scouting process, I sincerely understand that a lot of people here don’t understand how the draft process works and you’ll get posters screeching and hissing at the idea that this center probably isn’t going to go in the top 10 just because the mocks are saying that they are right now, and that WHAT WALTERFOOTBALL DOESNT EVEN HAVE THIS GUY AS A 1ST ROUNDER AND YOU THINK WE SHOULD TAKE HIM AT 6!?!?!, but until the coaches, their staffs, and chief personnel executives actually get to Mobile then the meaningful portion of the evaluation process hasn’t even started and everything you think you know about the quality of these prospects is based on what jimmy Butkiss at sportstek.edu.net thinks of these guys i guarantee you the panthers don’t know who they are or aren’t taking yet like lol why is that even controversial
  2. If you think they’ve made a final determination on who and what they’re drafting or not drafting before the season ends then I really don’t know what to tell you, maybe the panthers Reddit is more your speed?
  3. they aren’t going to telegraph who they’re taking after disadvantaging themselves on the literal first day of the offseason last year by telling anyone they could corner that they wanted to move on from bridgewater in very public circles anyone who thinks an evaluation has been made on these QBs in January is kidding themselves
  4. it’s off-season time at the huddle again, where the definitive components of a championship team are a plethora of mid round picks and a really great run defense i would joke that were only a “use a 1st round pick on an interior lineman” away from the trifecta but well we got there early this year
  5. Do tell us what you’d be comfortable giving him up for
  6. I wonder how bad Burns’ failure to defend the run would really look if the team had a really excellent unvaccinated run defender playing behind him at a pro bowl level
  7. Burns should only be traded if they can pick up multiple 1s, and then use the 6th pick to replace him. as for whose the preferred option to keep, it’s not really a question. Burns.
  8. What a dummy for even saying this CBs who can iso up and play press man are regarded as every bit as valuable OTs in the current nfl, literally all he had to do was just say “well you know we really loved both of these guys, Slater was one of the highest rated guys on our board, we just had Jaycee rated a little bit higher on our board, it’s a real shame about the injury but he was playing great until he got hurt but we’re really looking forward to getting him back.”
  9. The salary cap is an illusory tool. It has never in any way prevented any team from doing something it truly wanted to do. It is malleable to the point of obsolescence and means absolutely nothing.
  10. Spoilers: one of the “not worth a 1st round pick” QBs in this class will go on to be a good player
  11. We’re talking about offensive linemen, including interior linemen. Not QBs. These guys respond to money, and the panthers should be willing to pay lots and lots of money. They should take the same approach to free agency on the line that they did last season-the différence being they should target players who haven’t been proven failures throughout the entirety of their career. pay money.
  12. I don’t know if you’re new here but I assure you I will be vocal about who we should sign as soon as the available class is locked in
  13. My ability to see which players are headed into free agency along with a familiarity of the league and it’s players that surpasses yours.
  14. This really isn’t the big problem. it’s a strong FA class for offensive linemen, and the panthers are picking high enough to draft a franchise QB. My concerns are more with our inability to develop talent and a dated offensive philosophy, along with an atrocious power hierarchy. Oh, and an owner who doesn’t know what he’s doing.
  15. “Matt, tell them it wasn’t all your fault”
  16. apparently his intent is to come out of hiding after the team hires an OC which means that either A) the glazer report was true and rhule has to try and sell a coach on the idea of coming here but oh yeah you may actually be immediately fired if the owner doesn’t like you or B) the entire thing was just a ruse to buy tepper as much time as possible before he had to march out to the podium like a man and face us in the hopes that tensions will simmer a bit and he can sell some good news
  17. Did anyone at any point last season think “hm yes if only our special teams play was improved” if anything this team has had a really good run of specialists with Blackburn here he was fired because he was a holdover from the previous regime and probably still says “keep pounding” in hushed tones when rhule isn’t around #culturechange
  18. A token sacrificial offering of a bunch of guys Matt rhule doesn’t really know or care to work with
  19. “We signed two guys and it just didn’t work out”
  20. I still can’t believe he actually threw out the “collaborative decision” bean way to be a man
  21. lol satterfield just got handed the keys to a free pac 12 head coaching job in 2023, he isn’t going anywhere
