  1. Nobody within reason. As of now I'm not a fan of Perriman, but if the team thinks he's worth pick 25, then I can get behind it.
  2. Thats understandable, but Star admitted that he wanted to quit football as well. What about from a purely on the field standpoint?
  3. @https://twitter.com/LRiddickESPN[twitter][/twitter] .@WillParker81 Devin Smith is highly thought of throughout the league. He will be a very good multi-faceted WR. Devin Smith at 25? I would be happy.. thoughts?
  4. I don't think they have a true #1. Going out and getting that caliber of player, plus hooking Teddy up with his safety valve from college could be huge for that offense. I just don't see how they can pass on him if he's there.
  5. I think the Vikings are the more likely landing spot for Parker.
  6. This is true. We need some more So-Cal fans because most of the people in this thread are Nor-Cal. It would be awesome to have a beer and watch the draft, but I'm not driving 6 hours to do it.
  7. Cooper- Top 5 Parker- Top 15 White- Top 20 Smith- Mid/Late 1st Strong- Mid/Late 1st Agholor/Dorsett/Perriman- Early/Mid 2nd DGB- Late 2nd Coates- 3rd Hardy and Conley- 4th These are the only guys I have really watched so far. I'm also going to do a mock draft a couple days before the draft so these could still change for me.
  8. Lol I hope you guys don't say positive things about Gettleman when the team performs well this year and Crabtree is sucking balls out in Oakland.
  9. I wish lol.. maybe we can grab his teammate Markus Golden in a later round. I think that's a guy who could be coached up to be a decent player.
  10. I'm sure Gettleman is just feeling it out and trying to get and idea of what it would cost to move up to those spots in case someone they really like falls a bit. Wouldn't surprise me at all if we moved up for an OT or WR on draft day.
  11. The Eagles weren't in the playoffs last year..
  12. I don't know what to think of Thompson. I know people are saying he can play linebacker and safety, but against Illinois he doesn't look like he has the explosiveness or killer mentality that someone like TD has. He seems like he's letting the play come to him. He does have an occasional highlight reel play in his other games though. I will say I think he greatly benefited from having Danny Shelton in front of him and from Washington having a solid secondary.
  13. With Perriman it's not the number of drops, it's the kind of drops.
  14. He and Coates seem like very similar players to me. They have some bad concentration drops, same as KB.
  15. Harper as depth is fine.. he seems to be a good mentor and the young guys like him a lot, but i do not want to see him as the starting SS next year. Yea I haven't seen Coleman play much either so I can't comment on him. I'm not as big on Collins as a lot of people seem to be. I watched a few of his games on draftbreakdown. The thing I don't like about him is that he doesn't break down, square up and make the tackle. Instead of wrapping up he turns his shoulder and throws his body at the guy.. I don't know how well that's going to work in the NFL. That style of tackling also leads to him lunging a lot and a lot of over pursuing. If he's there at 25 I don't think we can pass, but I have my reservations about him.
  16. I definitely agree with you. I think SS is the biggest need on the team. Harper is too slow and takes some terrible angles, he needs to be replaced asap. Boston looked decent, he should be given another year or 2 to develop , but it's always good to bring in competition.
  17. Exactly what I believe. Gettleman pretty much came out and said it during his combine press conference.
  18. Very good write up, I agree with many of your statements, but I also have some counterpoints to make. 1. Tackle will probably be covered in the second round or later: Most of the OTs being brought in are second tier or less. Compare that with RB, WR, CB, and LB where we're bringing in top tier prospects that could easily go much higher than our pick. This points to us waiting a bit for an OT as Dave and Co probably don't see a good amount of first round value. We have met with La'el Collins, Ereck Flowers, and D.J. Humphries. All of these prospects are 1st round talents. Now for the other positions: Wr: Devante Parker is the only consensus 1st round talent of the group of receivers we have met with. Rb: Gurley is the only its round prospect. Cb: Kevin Johnson and Trae Waynes are projected 1st rounders, possible that Darby is, but probably not. Lb: As with Darby, kendricks and Mckinney are fringe 1st rounders, but it's very possible that they slide to the 2nd, even late 2nd. my second point is, just because we met with these prospects, does not mean that we like them. For example, a private meeting, where the prospect comes to Charlotte could be because the team is not sold on that players ability to grasp playbooks, or that they need to look a little deeper into some character concerns. In contrast, an on campus meeting where the coaches run the player through drills, could be a result of doubting a players athleticism. So either way, a visit might not be a good thing for the prospect. Then again, if the player performs well during these evaluations, it could raise them higher on Gettleman's draft board. Having said all this, I do completely agree with points 1 and 3. People keep thinking that we're set at DT, without realizing that Dwan and Colin are only short term answers, and we need some solid young guys to take their place in the rotation soon. Also, we will draft a RB this year, especially after the Pats stealing Gaffney and the little guy from Oregon not working out. Also don't be surprised if we go DE/S in the 1st.
  19. Ehh. We won't take a QB or G but I think all the rest are possible, but not probable.
  20. The ignorance is real. If you don't agree with me, you're an idiot! And then not understanding why that's wrong they continue to argue about why they're right.
  21. He's the pick if he's there at 25. But he won't be.
  22. Hardy was never a locker room cancer, he just made some questionable decisions in his personal life. I don't understand why now suddenly you need people in the locker room to "keep him in check".
  23. My god there's a bunch of crybaby bitches in this thread. Take your tampon out and man the f*** up. There's nothing worse than whiners.
