  1. Drivers could help. Having parties at home where you can control who's there would help these guys so much more. That and a trustworthy person to run their budget, and not let them do stupid ish with generational wealth.
  2. Diontae and Mingo. There was so much hope with those 2 and Marshall. We really thought we had a receiving room. Hopefully this one turns out better. Still think we're a year away with them. Same room. Just another year of development.
  3. DJ Moore was the YAC monster this team has been missing the last 2 seasons. No player currently on this team has the potential to match him in that department. XL is probably the closest - with potential.
  4. I think the first time I heard that was Bettis and Brooks at ND. Then, pretty sure White and Reggie Bush used it at USC. Of course that's college not pros.
  5. I stand corrected. Thought he was extended before the 2023 season.
  6. And playing in the rain is one of the worst things to do with a hammy. Just asking for trouble.
  7. It really is good to see. Just like D Brown had his best season after getting paid. These guys love the game. I'm sure they appreciate the generational money too, but they actually LOVE the game. We'll see what happens with Jaycee.
  8. I was really about to post this. We all (at least most) were ready for Carolina to become an offensive-minded team. Defense keeps you competitive, but you can't win the big game without offense anymore. The fact that TMac was the first pick after last year's defensive fiasco says a lot. Confusing at first, then incredibly refreshing after a few days (maybe because they drafted Nic and Princely). This team has finally turned the corner with it's mindset, and I'm here for it.
  9. I'm a little salty with Staley for the way she handled Fulwiley, who went to my high school alma mater in Columbia. Other than that, I love what she's done for SC basketball.
  10. You're right. I agree with everything you have here. Plus your earlier posts. However... Canales needs to have a plan and stick to it. If he does that, I'm good. Even if that doesn't mean a win. Health and playbook confidentiality is more important right now. But effort should NEVER be compromised on the field. Just might not want to show your best plays or keep your 1's and 2's out there too long.
  11. I don't know. That's hard to believe. I've only heard that he "continued" to do everything he did before being benched. Probably more he had a chance to calm the F down and just play football without all the pressure. Also had an opportunity to see how a real pro runs an NFL offense. He was playing scared before. Scared of making a mistakes. Scared of throwing interceptions. Scared of getting sacked. Can't play football scared. It's a literal fight out there. And every week is against a title contender.
  12. Are there any reports on today's practice?
  13. Yeah, Bryce has to put that a little deeper. But XL can't allow the pick there. Gotta become the DB when you're undercut like that.
  14. That's EXACTLY what he said. Almost verbatim.
  15. I can think of 4 or 5 teams that would probably be willing to part with a first rounder for the hope of a franchise QB.
  16. Damn that's rough, but I believe you. We had a running back from North Carolina back in the late 90s. Rushed for over 2000 yards his senior season. Never saw the field in college because of turf toe. Like for 4 years.
  17. Man I hope Mike Jackson doesn't have turf toe. That ish will linger forever. And hammy for Renfrow? Really need to keep an eye on that.
  18. Actually struggled with concussion and oblique injuries from week 2 of the 4th year, so even those 10 games were heavily compromised.
  19. All true statements. That's why I added the caveat, back to form. But to put things in perspective, he dealt with a horrible concussion in week 2 of the 2022 season and then an oblique injury later that year. 2023 is questionable due to injury and sickness, so who knows what we'll get?
  20. frank, come on. I've played football from the time I was 13 all the way throough D1 in college. One rule in EVERY practice, at EVERY level, is DO NOT hit the QB. Don't even touch him. Get close if you can but don't make contact. Very few teams can afford to lose their starting QB in a game, let alone in practice. Just a foolish and "weird" comment that rookie pass rushing reps trump starting QB health.
  21. Not a popular opinion, but if Renfrow is back to form he's the best WR on the team. I said what I said.
  22. If Bryce plays like he played the second half of the season, he'll have a good season. If he takes the next step and is more consistent, then he'll have a really good season. If the o-line and receivers step up too, this season will be epic for him. YAC and a legit deep threat is still needed. Hopefully these 2nd year guys and rookies at WR and TE are as good as advertised. He can't play defense. But he also can't catch for his receivers, or make them better in the open field after the catch.
