  1. Considering it's mostly everyone against the idea, I'd say the opposite. Reactive on both ends. He could be okay, likely a mid-rounder. Wish we got some takes on him rather than whatever this turned into you damn Carolinians and your intensity with college preferences! lol
  2. Boone does have some nice white flora snowfall
  3. They went back to their bead and rock stores in Boone.
  4. This reminds me a lot of that time I forgot I was in Denmark.
  5. I think this is more due to not playing for a guy anymore treating everyone like they just made the Little Giants’ active roster.
  6. The pushback against McCall in here is a bit too far but his arm leaves a lot to be desired. If he had legit credentials, his name would be buzzing in the scouting world with these stats he’s putting out and he simply isn’t generating the hype. He’s a pretty typical modern mid-rounder a la James Morgan or Minshew. Sometimes they can produce, most of the time they don’t. That’s really all there is to it.
  7. I like that dude. Really missed out on a legit GM. And McD. And Allen. And life in general. Love.
  8. With Flacco, Stafford, Rodgers and Brady (3 SB winners) all near retirement, Wilson, Mahomes, and Foles are about to be the only active QB with a SB win. Essentially 2 active starters w/SBs, one has clearly hit an age wall. So unless KC or DEN start winning every year, there's going to be 1st timers floating around. So who are they? Because it's looking pretty baren in the NFC. The AFC? Sure, you've got Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, Tua, Burrow, Herbert could be the ones gunning fora ring. The NFC? Dak? Cousins? Murray? Hurts? Those are our baselines. If we can find a guy that's at least a Dak, we could be a great shape these next 6-8 years. The NFC is about to get crazy interesting. Recent high picks are looking like busts, I mean, Geno is the current cream rising to the top. It's wild. So, I think we can find someone in this class. They don't need to be Montana.
  9. Anderson got bullied against A&M and TEN. Was also quiet to start the year. If we're going to nitpick the QB performances, we should really be paying attention to how inconsistent he's been this year. And isn't he like 6'4 240?
  10. The very first throw (and third) show his consistent big issue--sailing the short and intermediates. His accuracy on quick throws can be a bit erratic which is probably why whispers aren't being made about him being a R1 talent. You have to nail that stuff down pat as a QB going into the NFL. Though that throw at the :20 mark..wow. And he does well at extending plays and working with his guy post-route. He's a R2-4ish type imho. Better than Duggan though. edit--Reminds me of how people were looking at James Morgan in his draft some years back. Checks out on paper, great measurables, a bit of that QB gene, great numbers, but you need that extra kick of something that shows you have a high ceiling to warrant a high pick. He's just kind of like a lot of these mid rounders we've seen.
  11. This strange Duggan hype train is strange. Love me some of these receivers (Hyatt, Addison, QJ, Marv Jr) but we can find better than Duggan. If you're pushing for this WR/DE first, QB next strategy, do better than Duggan. Pls. Thx.
  12. QB for obvious reasons. Ideal choice: Bryce Young Alabama WR is a need regardless of how Marshall looks. You simply need playmakers to get to the next level. Ideal Choice: Jordan Addison USC A DL that can play 1, 3, and 5 tech to compliment Brown & Burns. YGM has this potential but is showing to be more of a role player/backup type. Ideal choice: Tyree Wilson Texas Tech M/OLB (after we let Shaq go) A balanced TE, I don't mind that Iowa kid Sam LaPorta And then just collect more linemen...
  13. Seriously. Usually the bad names even start sounding fine but it's just awkward.
  14. ...annnnnnnd officially under federal investigation
  15. While wearing a DSOTM shirt too. I mean, that's good taste lol
  16. Same. Finally took a minute to check him out since people are chattering about--his play makes the field seem really big. For me it seems to be a combination of choppy footwork and his throwing mechanics. And on top of it, overall, you're not getting any major upside/a high ceiling from him. The ball doesn't travel with consistent velocity which seems to result in mid-range accuracy issues. For a guy without any major upside, he still has a lot to work on. The team is rolling, but he's no more than a mid-late rounder from at least what I saw. He's not cracking the top-8ish in QBs therefore will remain off ze radar.
  17. Quinten and Addison are straight up stars. Harrison will be as well. And Smith-Nj should have a pretty smooth transition. And Hyatt/Tillman in TEN look great. Honestly, we could find a great potential 1-2 QB-WR in this draft if the cards fall correctly. But no to any other spot than QB high.
  18. Oh flub, I'm going by season not actual year. Compared to 21', I think it would depend on teams but Fields and Young would be between Lawrence and Jones, order of that #2-5 would vary.
  19. I don't know about that... 2021 was what? Willis, Pickett and Corral who all had pretty shaky performances throughout the year. And then people were convincing themselves Howell and Strong were the other tops, who scouts apparently had pegged as R4 and below. Pickett was the only one consistently producing offense, but there were notable flags. Many went into the year thinking Corral & Strong were the guys and it turned out to be really no one, minus Pickett sorta who came out of nowhere and was a late-1st. This year---Stroud and Bryce have been either at their expected level or exceeding it as Round 1 prospects. And then yep, Hooker has bloomed out of nowhere. Penix would be the other to watch, who honestly, is kind of where I start to feel this class gets to that Willis/Corral/Ridder level, but I think he's still better. The true deflated feeling many have in this current class is Richardson, Levis and Van Dyke not living up to expectations so far. Those guys have the measurables, no injury history, less physical questions, and overall ceiling but have not followed through on the field yet. More season to be played but if we're comparing to 2021, the likes of McCall & Jaren Hall is where this class gets to the Willis/Corral/Ridder level.
  20. Pretty much. Top of the draft includes teams that are typically at the top and don't pick the right guys (Jags, Jets, Texans, becoming us these days) and many of the better QBs slip to the consistently better teams in their off years. Buffalo traded up for Allen, KC for Mahomes, BAL for Jackson. Those teams targeted their top guy and were fortunate to work out a deal to grab them. Other teams take a promising backup with potential while having a guy (I.E. Rozeman grabbing Hurts after paying Wentz) 2020 was a good draft. And funny thing is I swear the common banter around these parts was that Burrow was a bust/one year wonder with small hands, Herbert couldn't lead, and Tua was going to be too affected by his injury. Russ, Rodgers, Cousins and Dak are about the only recent decent talented QBs who genuinely "fell" to their teams. We're also about to hit a major QB drought after this season when Brady, Rodgers, & maybe Stafford all retire. Best to start swinging and take our chance.
  21. He's also an animal off the field. That dude slays the Chicago West Loop white-young professional 20 somethings lol.
  22. We pick where we pick. Just hope we pick the right guy.
  23. I never really bothered until Folklore came out which is an excellent album. It's as much of a Bon Iver and The National album as a T-Swift one. And her mingling with that crowd in shows she's a musician and not just a pop star. Her songwriting is honestly top notch.
  24. I wouldn't say we'd be judging him too soon--he's a 5 year vet UDFA with a sub 57% completion rate to speak to in college and under 58% for his NFL career so far. He's just not the answer.
