  1. I love how the 7 year plan became a 6 year plan, then a 5 year, and now apparently a 4 year plan. THERE WAS NO PLAN
  2. He's "not the GM" yet goes on to explain how his role was essentially a GM's role with player acquisitions and roster building within a 4-5 year plan. SMFH. Taking credit for the team right now really takes the cake, when he's also saying where the team ended up wasn't where he wanted it to be. I've always like Schraeger and Kyle Brandt but man, this infatuation they have with Rhule as New Yorkers has really brought them down.
  3. These are softballs at the level Zach Wilson got. I mean, you really need to take a humble high road in public post-firing. He's claiming his method wasn't given time to unfold but at the same time wasn't a fit. He's just creating a bunch of conflicting, false excuses. He could easily just say it didn't work out. That's it, no excuses, it didn't work out, didn't compete at a high enough level, should have targeted a better offense. But noooo. He had it right all along and it wasn't given time lol. My ass. It's a simple thing that so many seem to struggle with these days--it's okay to admit something doesn't work, it doesn't make you look weak to acknowledge weakness or a mistake. That takes strength to own who you are and what you can improve on. This is like 3rd grade lessons so much of the world still begrudgingly refuses to learn from. He is pulling the same bs politicians rake over eyes of the vulnerable. Sh*thead
  4. Can only laugh at him taking for credit how we've gotten better after he was fired. Is he for real? Essentially downplaying Wilks' abilities? Like seriously? And claiming he was setting us up for "the big trade"? Pray tell, who the heck were you targeting? Seems like this shmuck had ANOTHER bulsh*t vet trade target lol. And some comments on reddit and elsewhere keep saying, "he may have not worked out in the NFL but he's a good man, will succeed in college again". This does not equate to any level of goodness. He's not only a true definition of a loser (coaches losing teams and runs from accountability), but seems content burning NFL bridges and will probably just stay in college for the rest of his career. I'm unsure if Nebraska will even tolerate his BS for long. It may have worked at a Temple and a Briles-ruined Baylor program, but Nebraska? In that stadium? In a state where that's all that matters? I just don't see how so many in the media side of things and college ranks take this guy as a serious coach. He's a complete joke.
  5. And I do know plenty of the upper ups on the retired front (per a certain paintball competition in Cabo for Turkey day) do all in fact acknowledge he is a dildo.
  6. This shmuck has had his whole career gifted to him on a silver platter, daddy brought him up with no consequences in NYC, handheld him to State College, and he has the audacity to act like a complete imbecile now that he’s out with his new contract. He also still has an in with circles—-you’ll notice because he still gets such fluff on the networks. He’s such a f#cking loser and I don’t say things like that lightly. I really hope Nebraska chokes on a corn dog next year.
  7. If I had to right now, really had to and show my cards on who I like... I'm guessing we end up around Pick 6-7. I'll take a more targeted approach rather than a straight up guess for each current pick: R1 - Jordan Addison/Quinten Johnson WR - Give me one of these bonafide studs. I want top talent, best possible offensive playmaker upgrades. Period. Possibly the TE, but Addison is going to be special. Think a blend of Stefon Diggs and Devonta Smith. Late R1 (Trade up) - Tanner McKee QB Stanford - Give this guy an OL and those type of WRs, I'm 100% interested. He actually has all the tools, is smart, young (22), NFL arm, has the size (6'6), enough agility in the pocket, and word is more than a few GMs and scouting teams are actually high on him, not an online boosted stock situation. Get him end of first with that option. See how he stacks up. Pro ready, pro style offense, pro style QB. R2-3 - Henry To'oTo'o LB Bama - Shiny new linebacker after we inevitably let Shaq go. R3-4 - Luke Schoonmaker TE - Need to take another gander at a TE. Thomas and Tremble have made progress but we need a. clear upgrade. Massive potential with this guy. R3-4ish - Cameron Ward QB - Go high upside on a double dip. He's like 20/21, treat it developmentally and see how he fairs vs. Corral. Sign a vet FA for insurance, I doubt we'd want to roll with 2 rooks and a 2nd year who's basically a rookie. R3-6 - Chase Brown RB - Plays through contact and has got the burners. Crazy good acceleration. Think Saquan meets Ekeler (style/type wise, not saying he's a star RB, but has the potential)
  8. We're going to have tryouts
  9. Let's do the unthinkable: 1-Young 2-McKee 3-Penix 4-McCall 5-Ward 6-Nix 7-Tune Battle royale in training camp
  10. Welcome to the world of sports statistics
  11. Mid-round TE: Luke Schoonmaker 6'6 250 Michigan Willing & reliable block combined with receiving skills as a huge, long, target. Gronk sized. Hasn't been used a lot but has a ton of potential.
  12. Between this and not getting proper representation for his contract negotiations, Jackson seems to make a lot of really head scratcher moves off the field.
  13. That's a good one to throw out. Definitely agree. He's relentless and is good with his counter moves, just doesn't stop. Has a knack for shedding blockers even if they get position on him. Ton of potential, he's that type that can probably play 3, 5, and 7 tech and become an every down type. Great size and frame.
  14. Oh I definitely see him transferring. He has 2 options: Pac-12 to get bonkers awesome inflated stats to hype himself up for the draft or SEC for a legacy run at a title.
  15. It's all relative--I think two of the better prospects that could be that fringe 1st range are returning to school in Ward & Daniels. Penix as mentioned is a bit of a mystery from what I've gathered even considering the year he's had. You have to weigh the risk/reward. If this is the scenario, it means we're getting another non-QB at the top of the draft. The roster is going to start filling out, top talent year after year in Burns, Brown, Chinn, Horn, Ekwonu, and with this a new playmaker..so you have to just take those gambles at a certain point. I'd rather ensure we get our favorite this time, especially for a fresh new HC and not hand him a leftover to pair with another leftover in Corral. I'm taking a late 1st investment with big upside over just waiting for whoever is left come mid-R2 (if this scenario shakes out position wise).
  16. Pretty much. The fact he is the best QB on the team means absolutely nothing for our future. Other than maybe winning the clipboard battle under whoever we grab next to launch onto this carousel of crazy. He's had good games before.. Panthers & Jets fans all know what he is in the bigger scheme of things. Nothing is changing. Seems to have had some nice throws yesterday, I'll give him that. But let's be real, other than acknowledging that, what's really the point here? (rhetorical)
  17. I'll check it out when I can. Haven't been watching our games
  18. Darrel Bevell was a name that kept getting brought up for Wilks as a OC when he took the AZ job and he interviewed. Where's he at these days? Tua's QB coach and the Dolphins passing game coordinator
  19. Fair points. I'm not a Levis fan as of now but am prepping for the possibility and looking for the silver lining. And the Day 2 QB situation you speak of almost always includes a gap with a few outliers like Hurts and Brees. What I'm hoping to show is that teams tend to target a guy and will move up to grab him from the mid to late 1st. That's just what happens. If every team passes on a guy in R1 at the most important position, that will also get a 5th year option, it almost always means they pass on them in Round 2 as well. The QB picks then tend to pick back up in R3. Allen, Mahomes, Watson, Jackson, Love, Bridgewater, Flacco, Cutler, all trade ups. The ones that don't work out like Kyle Boller, JP Losman, Josh Freeman, they'll happen to. It's so easy to just say "trade down, grab a guy round 2" but it's just not how it typically happens. Not saying that's what your getting at, but it's something so easy to say, yet something that rarely works out or happens. No one in their right mind thought Hurts was going to be this type of slayer. To your point, how does the Late 1st crowd stack up against the Day-2ers in this group, especially if it's being overvalued? How do Richardson, McKee compare to a Penix, Hall, Tune, etc.? I'm unsure at this point, leaning a bit more on the McKee/Richardson train though.
  20. We could be in 1st in the NFCS by week 15 hehe
  21. Cool. I'm not unwavering in any direction, would be down for you to show those but he's not and will not be the answer. At best, maybe he could get stick on as a backup here. I don't hate the dude, he's just not an NFL starter.
