  1. Clausen is probably the worst QB of all time. I've never seen a QB literally refuse to throw downfield. That said had Moore started the entire season that probably looks like a much better team. The 2010 team still had Double Trouble, a speedy Mike Goodson, Smitty, David Gettis, and Lafell.
  2. I think if he starts making a leap forward it will happen this weekend. He's finally starting to get aggressive and playing loose with the football. He just unfortunately missed on those deep shots. Hopefully he'll start hitting some of those Sunday.
  3. I think he played some of his best ball yesterday. He show a lot of heart and mobility getting yards on the ground. The drops kept killing our momentum though. I get that he missed the deep throws but I personally felt like a light was starting to come on yesterday. He was getting aggressive and brave with the football. The fact that he was going deep at all was an oh poo moment for me. Maybe I’ve set my standards too low. But we outplayed the Saints most of the game yesterday and I’m really curious to see if we’ll continue to see this version of Bryce. He’s gotta hit those bombs in stride but at least he wasn’t under throwing them. If he connects on those then all of the sudden he looks like a much different player.
  4. Maybe there’s lead in my water but i honestly thought he played his ass off today. This was the most positive performance I’ve seen from him all year. Multiple drives were killed by WRs today. He showed way more mobility in the pocket and moved the chains with his legs. Yes he missed the deep shots but he at least overthrew them and took chances. We haven’t seen that all year. I want to see more of this aggressive version of Bryce. I defended Cam for being put in similar poo situations and I’ll die on this hill today. Bryce showed more today than he has all year.
  5. It’s the one thing that’s been missing from his game all year. We’re running better and the routes are making more sense. It’s not a coincidence that we’re seeing deeper shots now. With our protection problems and lack of separation I don’t think it’s a stretch to think someone would struggle throwing deep in this offense. Either way I’m choosing to be positive about it. At least he overthrew guys today.
  6. This is the best the offense has looked all year. We outplayed the Saints most of the game. But the drops and the overthrows cost us. This is the best version of Bryce we’ve seen though. Love the aggressive deep shots. If he starts landing those then all the sudden he looks like the #1 pick. I was encouraged by what I saw today.
  7. Bryce is elusive enough to pick up 1 yard in an empty set. We should have just called a scramble. Wtf.
  8. This is how I feel too. This is a different Bryce playing today. The stats are misleading. He missed the deep shots but he took them . Which has not been the case all year.
  9. I think it’s more that we’re running the football like we did last year and now the WRs are getting a little help in PA and better route concepts by Brown. Guys are getting open more often now. Bryce is a getting a little more brave as a result. Mingo is getting better etc.
  10. Bryce has been playing some of his best ball today. The stats aren’t showing it but so many drives were stalled by drops. He missed the overthrows but we are seeing a change in his mentality today. He’s aggressive and taking chances downfield. That’s a huge step in my opinion.
  11. Too many first down throws getting botched by the WRs. That said Bryce missed those crucial overthrows. I love that he’s taking chances though.
  12. I’m gonna see the silver lining here and say that it’s encouraging that Bryce is taking shots. WRs have had some crucial drops today. Yes he’s had overthrows but he’s getting aggressive which is what we need to see.
  13. At least we’re not afraid to chuck it today. I like that .
  14. No not really. I've always wondered what the tell Jake had that the Cardinals keyed in on in the playoff game. It was mentioned in a post game interview, but it wasn't gone into detail. Personally, I think it was a combination of him not being able to force the throws like he used to. Thus, it exposed his flaws processing the game, and he had an overreliance on Smitty.
  15. San Diego. Probably Delhomme's last good game that reminded you of the guy he was in 03. Monday Night (or Thursday?) vs Buccaneers at home. I went to that game and it was incredible to see Stewart and Williams just completely destroy a defense like that. I think at that time Stew and DWill were top 5 RB talents on their own. Smitty had a great game too.
