  1. He was my dude prior to this season but holy hell I couldn’t want less to do with him after watching him play this year
  2. Yep I think once the smoke clears we’re stuck with Levis I know they’re desperately trying to get to 1 but I’m not sure it happens
  3. Richardson’s floor is Seattle Next question
  4. I dunno… If for whatever reason we can’t land a QB I’d at least talk about the Johnson/Skoronski route Offensive tackles under rookie contracts are the next most valuable thing. The Giants were set up nicely with Thomas and Neal until they decided to take that money and use it on Jones lol Moton’s cap hit shoots up to 24 for the next 3 seasons Christensen and Corbett both suffered injuries and Corbett most likely won’t be ready to start the season. Cade Mays should be able to fill in at RG but Christensen is far from great. I’m not advocating we do this, I want to sell the farm for the 1st overall pick but if we can’t get QB it’s at the very least worth discussing Again, to be clear, I want a f’n QB and would do anything to get one (and sounds like Scott is willing to do so too) but if we can’t then yeah… I’m sure as sh!t not spending another top 10 pick on a cornerback at 9 so rule all those out for me
  5. Not sure what the advantage is to leaking this if you haven’t secured a top spot in the draft At some point when you’re just bidding against yourself and already have offered up 400 picks to move up to 1 you might wanna be able to say “maybe we’ll check in with Lamar” before offering pick 401
  6. If we do end up at 1 I believe most of the mock trades floating around with pick compensation going to Chicago will seem very light versus what we actually give up
  7. Again, getting to 1 isn’t a for sure thing. There are no FA QB’s available that are the answer long term. Fitterer isn’t in a position to sit and wait come draft night I’m all for throwing picks at Chicago until they say yes because it’s time so don’t think I’m against any of this I’m just telling you the pickle we’re in and the pressure Fitterer is under to deliver
  8. The Bears should sign Brown Jr and McGary and trade with us at 9 and take JSN This doesn’t have to be hard
  9. But Fitterer isn’t in a position to sit and hope someone falls to him that’s the problem here This whole things is a mess… again
  10. As would I BUT we might not be able to get to 1. It won’t be for a lack of trying I can assure you of that. So now would you rather have LJ for 2 1st’s and a contract OR trade up to 2 or 3 in the draft for multiple 1’s and your second or third choice at QB?
  11. I agree It’s never a good thing when the GM and HC have different timelines in terms of job security. Something that will continue to potentially blow up in our faces Scott talked a lot about future cap space in his presser. I said it at the time it happened but I’ll say it again, this offseason will either make or break us for the foreseeable future
  12. Some of you seem to think Fitterer got a timeline reset on his job when this new staff came in He didn’t It’s a big reason why he didn’t trade Burns at the deadline. He needs to win this year and his chances are better with Burns than with picks he won’t be here to use if he doesn’t win
  13. I disagree. He has a ton of pressure on him from Tepper to find a QB or he’s gone. Everyone knows the pickle he’s in. Find a QB or the next guy will It’s not like he’s trading up to take Kenny Pickett. No one is going to think it’s silly to take Young or Stroud number 1
  14. Is exactly what Scott will be saying to try to get to 1 His job depends on it. If he misses then this whole mess will be the next guys problem
  15. I honestly feel like it’s 1 or bust I have been against trading for Lamar because I don’t think you can do picks + a huge contract and be successful but to trade to 3 for Levis or Richardson comes with a lot of risk for someone you clearly weren’t 100% sold on I think it could still cost our next two 1st rounders to get to pick 3 anyways. So by trading for Lamar, we save a 1st rounder but take a massive blow to our future cap space but we also know what Lamar is. I’m firmly in the boat of getting to pick 1 and keep tossing Chicago picks until they say yes but if Indy gets it then I really don’t know. Maybe Houston moves up and we end up at 2.
  16. Kirk Cousins with the willingness to push the ball down field would be a damn good QB
  17. Richardson was +2200 to be the first QB selected just a couple of weeks ago. Now at +350 I have a cashout option I like Stroud at +400 now
  18. If we move up to 1 I think it would be for Stroud Reich had a pure passer that could also run if need be in Andrew Luck his first year in Indy. After that Reich went with guys like Rivers and Ryan. I know Reich likes a Wentz type style too but you wouldn’t want to be designing too many runs for Young, I don’t think you can mortgage the future for AR, so that leaves us with Stroud I have no horse in this race. I just want one of Young, Stroud or AR so I’m just thinking over here
