  1. College football + draft the two kind of go hand in hand
  2. I’m trying to find where exactly Dumbass Newton said this but can’t find it anywhere Nevermind I guess it was Bryce that said he was “open to anything” and they’re taking that and running with it
  3. Team who are drafting later are typically the better run organizations. Better organization = better team = better situation for a QB drafted by that team I wanted Jordan Love in the 2020 draft and I would’ve taken him at 7. I guarantee Jordan Love would be either out of the league right now or going on a back-up tour had we drafted him. Instead he goes to GB and gets to sit and properly develop and is now a franchise QB
  4. Because they’re not going to the dog sh!t organizations/teams and are given the time to develop properly
  5. Man there truly is no helping the stupid that litters this place
  6. When they literally told Diontae he was the X the day he arrived. Canales scheme is WR1 dependant. I said a few times during the offseason how Evans bailed him out. We don’t have that guy. Canales called 3 plays for Diontae down in the red zone. 1 against Buffalo and 2 against New Orleans. All 3 ended horribly. Dan then drafted a super raw WR in a very deep WR class. Mitchell and Burton both have been playing well and both bring a speed element we are so badly lacking Dan proved he doesn’t have a very good understanding of the talent we have on this roster and seems to be even more clueless when it comes to understanding our cap space situation
  7. You’d have to be as clueless as Bryce Young in the pocket to think Dave Canales was behind the benching Which is about 50% of this place so that checks out
  8. I know playing in Kiffin’s offense is going to raise a lot of questions but Dart could end up being an intriguing option in 2nd
  9. Yeah given our crap cap situation I’m not keeping Bryce around for those types of cap hits for the .0000000000000001% chance he becomes something in this league
  10. lol whenever someone repeats a question back to themselves you know it’s over
  11. Zach Wilson, Drew Lock, Justin Fields or even Trey Lance No way Fields leaves Pittsburgh given the little success he’s finally having So Zach Wilson or Drew Lock. Bo Nix seems to be who I always thought he was so Wilson might get some play eventually this year. Lance has all the tools so for that I’d be willing to entertain it
  12. Bryce showed up looking the damn same this season. After a historically bad season I thought maybe he’d at least attempt to add some muscle but nope. He either thinks it was everyone else’s fault last year or he knows he can’t play with the big guys. Probably a bit of both Kid has no one to be pissed at other than himself. He’s been utter dog sh!t since his very first snap in the NFL
  13. I’ll give him credit for Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis as the early returns on these signings look good However, besides those two it was a lot more of the same crap we’ve seen in recent years which should come as no surprise since Dan was here for that mess His solution to the WR problem: trade for a WR2 and claim he’s a WR1 his solution to the edge problem: Sign DJ Wonnum and Clowney. Luckily Wonnum can be cut after this year to save 7.5 million in cap space. Then in full Marty Hurney style, Dan spent a 2nd round pick on a running back coming off an ACL injury when we had much bigger needs that this draft class meshed well with. Continuing the Hurney trend, Dan went out and signed Josey Jewell to an awful contract that makes it impossible to cut him until 2026. Unless they want to eat 6.6 million in dead cap while saving less than 1 million in cap. Dan then spent a 3rd round pick on a linebacker. Dan also spent a 7th round pick on a linebacker as well. Not only does the Jewell contract eat up cap but it keeps our 3rd rounder on the bench. It’s only been 2 games and Brooks wasn’t expected to play but on Sunday we got a combined 19 snaps from our draft picks in rounds 1-3 on a roster that needed starters so badly. This defense was never going to be good this year but spending money we absolutely did not have just kicked the can down the road for another season. These useless signings forced a restructure of another terrible contract in Shy Tuttle. So on top of having a brain dead owner we have another clueless GM… Fun times
  14. Something obviously happened? Because we have literally nothing at edge and he definitely showed the most potential during preseason. Wasn’t even close imo in terms of whoever was behind him
  15. Ok then https://x.com/tompelissero/status/1836087716582482367?s=46&t=W75E23VenL1ei42iX22E5g
  16. I don’t even know man. I liked Cam Ward last year so as of right now he’s my guy but it’s still so early I know people aren’t high on Beck but he has the tools/size. I could see that playing a massive role in Teppers next draft decision You?
  17. Sounds good in theory but the second that vet throws an interception Tepper is having the rookie go in
  18. It why I think he drafts another QB next year. Quickest way to sell this terrible product to the fans is with a shiny new toy at QB
  19. You’ve taken so many L’s over the years. And yet you continue to double down on your own stupidity. Not a chance your IQ is above 70
  20. I just don’t know how Tepper is going to sell tickets next season. This is a business. To suck this much for the last few years and draft anything other a QB to inject life back into this fan base would be tough. The only other position they could possibly draft to excite some fans with a stopgap QB would be finding a bonafide WR1
  21. I’d take shots on Fields, Zach Wilson, Drew Lock and even Trey Lance if they wanted to do the whole bridge thing All these guys have legit NFL arms. The more this plays out I’m kinda coming around to the idea of a bridge QB for a bit and seeing what Canales can do
  22. Ah yeah I guess Drew would’ve been in Seattle with Canales
