I wonder where they want him to play. He played both LG and RG against the Saints in week 2. Pretty sure they had him listed as a tackle. I wonder if they’ll experiment with him at center
-
Well Coker for sure will be brought back if he clears wouldn't be hard to clear a spot for ISM if need be. And yeah, I get it but such is life in the NFL… I guess
-
That’s the whole point of hanging onto Coker for that extra day He’ll go to the PS if he clears waivers. I assume ISM will too
-
Stacked lol We have one of the worst WR groups in the league. Marshall ISM and Coker aren’t changing that
-
I’m sure it’s been mentioned but I’m excited about Jarrett Kingston. Might’ve found something with him

Projecting Young’s Sophomore Season (Mina Kimes)

I would’ve liked to have seen Sam Howell brought in given the situation as a whole. Obviously would’ve had to bring someone in they could sell as a developmental guy and not someone threading for the starting job. They chose not to hurt Young’s confidence this offseason instead of finding a better fit at QB I agree though neither Young or Dalton fit what Canales likes to do -

In order for the Canales/Bryce marriage to work Bryce is going to have to prove that he is 1) willing to throw deep and 2) that he can throw deep https://www.milehighreport.com/2024/3/8/24092154/2023-regular-season-passing-by-direction-and-distance#:~:text=Brock Purdy led the league, and completed 20 of them. -
Davis didn’t get cut

It also appears (to me at least) his arm angle has changed a bit since the Arkansas game. NFL Bryce throws more overhead versus pre Arkansas it was definitely more of a 3/4 arm angle I watched the Florida game from 2021 yesterday and he threw 50 yards without really stepping into his throw. His arm definitely used to look a lot more lively. Yeah my main concern with Bryce was always his arm strength. The size didn’t bother me as much. It was always the arm. There just weren’t many NFL style boundary throws on his tape. 2021 Bryce used to be able to drive the ball much better -

I feel like Young’s arm has never been the same since that injury at Arkansas -
Ollie Connolly has legitimate concerns over the Canales/Bryce marriage. Based off of what Canales has done in the past with Russ and Baker it doesn’t mesh well with Bryce’s strengths. Mina goes on to say she think Young knows his arm limitations and that’s why he didn’t throw that ball to Mingo on Saturday and ultimately ended up taking a sack. It’s a real good in-depth conversation and Ollie goes in-depth on the type of offense he’d like to see Young in

I’d honestly rather have Plummer than Ridder
-
Bryce basically talked in circles without saying anything much when asked about Marshall. This guy touches his arms more than Sam Darnold would say “you know” during every presser. For someone who’s been doing interviews his whole life it’s crazy how uncomfortable he always looks up there

Ian is our only “blocking” tight end. Not quite sure why this is such a shock I don’t think he’s very good at blocking compared to the rest of the league but compared to what we have on our roster he’s the best at it sadly

Slowik >> Ben Johnson

This is why I found the DK comps ridiculous. XL 10 yard split 1.54 DK 10 yard split 1.45 XL takes a second to get going. Given our need at WR and lack of speed last year I can’t believe that in such a deep draft XL was the only WR we took. I mean I can believe it because this organization is clueless but still
-
The people continuously dumping all of our problems on the OL and WR last year simply didn’t watch much Stroud might’ve not led this team to the playoffs last year but he damn sure would’ve had us playing a lot more competitive football. Stroud is truly special. Stroud is also much better at extending plays than Bryce is
-
Would be easy to cut this roster down to 40
-
Canales talking about how strong our WR group is today I’m sure was him trying to play chess in terms of trading Marshall We still have one of the worst WR groups by far in the league. Johnson is WR1 by default. Pittsburgh gave him away for nothing and no one cared to offer more than Donte Jackson clearly. However, Canales and Morgan also only drafted one WR in a really deep WR class. That one being extremely raw. So who the f*ck knows but if they think this room is a strength we are cooked
-
I just skimmed through this quickly but holy hell does Thielen’s lack of speed come into play on that 3rd down play. I agree with JT that I don’t think Mingo got enough depth here which makes Adam look even slower but you can’t run double outs with Thielen being out wide. Hopefully Canales learns from this play
-
Yep. He was rumoured to be getting cut. I REALLY wish we’d bring someone like this in. High upside guy for Canales. If the Packers who just paid Jordan Love can do it why on earth can’t we
-
I agree with this This was a play I would’ve liked to have seen him give Mingo a shot at
-
I’m all for a good Bryce bashing but had he ignored the play design and passed on a wide ass open Thielen for the throw some of you wanted to see then I’d have even more concerns with his “super processing”
-
I understand what you’re seeing I just think the better throw is to Thielen here. Thielen is literally wide ass open so take the for sure thing and move on imo We can agree to disagree. We both know I’m no Bryce stan
