  1. Nope. Lamb roasted me. I figured Dowdle was going to run all over us. I had Lamb under 10 catches on my parlay.
  2. Most of the "haters" have been saying calm down, let's see if he can sustain his level of play. This game has been ugly to this point. The fumbles are killers.
  3. Playing against Lamb this week in 2 leagues PPR. I'm going to get killed if this poo keeps up.
  4. Mine too. His footwork was just beautiful. Balance damn near perfect. He and Sewell were 2 of the best LT prospects in a while.
  5. For a 2-15 team, the first 3 picks should be day 1 starters or at least the 1st 2 with rotational 3rd. Certain positions are routinely found in particular rounds more frequently. It's like we draft without this in mind and gamble on raw prospects instead of filling positions of need with likely starters. I just don't get it.
  6. Frazier made more sense than Brooks. We were going to have a starting C that was switching from guard on the last year of his contract. Taking a RB with a busted wheel for a 2-15 team isn't really a luxury you can afford.
  7. Media doesn't give 2 shits about the Panthers. They only care about clicks and what Bryce is doing right now generates clicks. I guarantee you if he has a bad game or 2 he will disappear back into the media cobwebs.
  8. Not necessarily a max contract stipulation, but rather a realization that devoting so much to a single, albeit extremely important, position can seriously hinder the teams ability to compete. I would lean more towards and offense and defensive cap, say a 40-60% dedication of resources one way or the other.
  9. It's the rookie salary cap all over again.
  10. We're seeing more and more the importance of high impact rookies on those cheap contracts. Having to pay Purdy anywhere near top 10 QB money is going to create some problems with that roster.
  11. Sanders has been the least surprising for me. Anything at all was better than everything from Ian Thomas.
  12. I heard that they asked him to be more "hands on" but he dropped the ball.
  13. It's not hindsight. Called it then. Called it with TMJ over Humphrey. Our center play has been hot garbage for damn near a decade and relying on a guy moved from guard to C coming off back to back injury seasons was stupid. I've been beating the drum for a center since we traded for Paradis.
  14. It's not that we're the cursed. We're just monumentally stupid at reading the draft and knowing where premium players at certain positions are typically found. Our GMs have been willing to take the Tier 3 guy at a premium position instead of a premier player at a position of need, just not as glamorous. And to no one's surprise, it works less often than not.
  15. 9 carries. 22 yards. 3 receptions. Those kind of numbers are irreplaceable. Frazier would have been a starter, not Corbett.
  16. I've been wanting us to take one since Kalil's neck injury. We were spoiled with excellent center play and then we've had patchwork in the middle ever since. I've been told over and over on this MB that centers are easier to get than RBs and you can get one off the waiver wire that will be pro bowl caliber. I'm still waiting.
  17. It's long term vs short term satisfaction. I'd rather lose the rest of the games this year and be able to draft a difference maker because he's actually available at our pick, than win a couple of games and end up 10-16 and getting another good player, but not game changer. No one remembers the feel good wins a year or 2 from now. They remember success and that's not something we've done with any regularity.
