  1. You're correct Andy and Donovan did go their 6th season together, they seem to be the exception but even so they were knocking on the Superbowl in 3 consecutive NFC championship games prior to 2004 so early success is still the norm for a HC/QB combo McDermott and Harbaugh were going against the odds this season
  2. Nor sure about his Cap hit, but a TMac, Coker, Moore trio would be a lethal WR room. Maybe we can bring him home?
  3. It's wild but it's a true stat. Which is why I had doubts about Buffalo getting over the hump in the playoffs.
  4. There's never been a HC/QB combo that's went to a Super Bowl and it wasn't within first 5 years. Only 2 teams had Super Bowl hopes this season that were outside that window. Buffalo: McDermott and Allen Baltimore: Harbaugh and Jackson Both coaches after failing a Super Bowl run were fired at the end of the season.
  5. Man I was hoping if Evero leaves that Ulbrich would be the Panthers DC hire. He turned the Falcons defensive pass rush into one of the leagues best.
  6. If Evero leaves the Panthers should definitely look at bringing in Jeff Ulbrich as defensive coordinator he turned the Falcons defense around a unit that was one of the worst at sacking the qb became one of the best in the league in his season as the DC.
  7. Bring in competition at QB obviously Offense: 1. A reliable #2 WR We have positions 1, 3, 4, with Tmac, Coker, Horn 2. Pass catching TE (Kyle Pitts) We need to be able to put pressure on linebackers, so they cant be strictly dialed in on our run game. 3. Either resign Dowdle or bring in someone to compete for starting role. Defense: 1. Pass Rush (Multiple guys) If we going to compete with Saints and Falcons, Bucs going forward we need a pass rush. 2. Linebacker Heavy draft for LB we need to stretched our Front 7 3. Maybe find a upgrade to Nick Scott
  8. Panthers offense is anemic, I'll rather have to keep pace with the lesser of the two offenses.
  9. With a Cardinal win we host the 49ers instead of the Rams. I very much prefer that matchup.
  10. It was a designed play, but let's put that to the side for a moment. The lateral is considered a fumble, the lateral doesnt erase the rushing attempt, him pitching it essentially tags him down at the spot so he loses yards regardless the ball is just still alive.
  11. Offensive line is vastly overrated on this board. They don't move anyone in the run game. People on this board we gotta pay Icky we gotta pay Mays, while already being the highest paid Oline as it is.
  12. Don't apologize of course it was a designed play. Dave even admitted at his press conference after the game it was an "aggressive call".
  13. I want the Falcons to win Sunday, not because I think the Panthers will do anything in the playoffs. But I'm tired of Tampa winning this crappy division by being the least crappy.
  14. What happened to out highest paid Offensive line they not moving anyone in the run gane and ita been that way for several weeks now. I look at Tampa Oline and they knocking dudes 4 and 5 yards down from the line of scrimmage, but our backs aren't getting any holes.
  15. It's a good thing we have the best team in the division the Falcons playing for our playoff spot tomorrow. lol This one could get ugly.
  16. I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
  17. This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers. I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win. Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend. If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
