  1. Speed kills. That's what Detroit has going on with their offense. Jimmy Horn Jr provides that type of speed for the Panthers we need that element in the gameplan.
  2. This is also true. Darnold was showing improvement miraculously under Wilkes those last few games of the season when he was inserted back as the starter. I think Mayfield just wanted out of Carolina and was checked out he looks nothing like did when he was here.
  3. You lost me Edit: Oh are the Panthers the glass house lol
  4. Remember him from a few seasons ago, lively arm and mobile. No qb has been successful with the Jets so you can't hold that against him.
  5. If there was ever a game to get behind that offensive line and the run the rock with Rico it's this game. Only one team has been worst than Buffalo at stopping the run this season and that's Miami and we saw what happened in that game with Dowdle. Buffalo of course has one of the most dynamic offenses so the more time we can keep that offense off the field the better, sustaining drives will be crucial. Atlanta had their way with Buffalo in their last game that score could have easily been 28-7 at the half. With that said with an improved vertical passing attack and emphasis on the run game Carolina pulls the upset 24-17
  6. Good for him. I never thought he was a bad play caller but whom ever decision it was between him and Rhule to Jettison Bridgewater after 1 season with an offense that performed above expectations is one of the reasons why they are both collecting paychecks in other places.
  7. Yeah and somehow his next career journeyman got him fired the very next season. Robby never came close to a 1000 yards in his career after that, neither did Samuel. Moore was the only one able to duplicate his numbers in following seasons.
  8. Brady didn't lose his job because of Teddy what kind of revisionist history is this. After that 2020 season they were calling that man a offensive guru how he had a terrible Panther's team offense cooking. Robby Anderson had 95 catches for 1,096 yards career highs for him DJ Moore had 66 catches and 1193 yards with a career high of 18.1 yards a catch he's never came anywhere near that YPC total again. Curtis Samuel had 77 catches and 851 yards again career highs for him. In the history of the franchise never has it's 3 top receivers amass that many yards collectively Yall just create narratives that's just not true for people who actually watch the games and know the history of this franchise.
  9. Lol Brady who lost his job the very next season after Teddy was gone. Went from the talk of the NFL world "young guru" to unemployed. The only time that offensive roster looked like it's potential was when Teddy was operating it and unfortunately he didn't have CMC for the year or who knows how it would have looked then. The only other time it looked explosive was with PJ Walker but the Camsters had to ruin that lol.
  10. Teddy didn't play with CMC all of what 1 game? The Robby Anderson? The Curtis Samuel? Who most Panthers fans couldn't wait to run out of town? Neither of those guys were nearly as effective with Darnold throwing them the ball and their stats reflected it.
  11. Teddy gets a bad rap on this board but he was never a bad Qb especially the one season he had here. Bryce Young plays a similar game as Teddy without the 70% completion rate, he's more of a 55 - 60% completion guy I would be over the moon if Bryce was as accurate as Teddy, if you're going to play the dink and dunk game you have hit on about 70% of your passes, guys like Cam can live on 60% connect rate because they push the ball vertical and get chuck yardage. With that said I wouldn't write off Hooker just yet he's a local kid with a big arm and those local guys when giving the opportunity to play for the home team usually exceed expectations just look at what Dowdle is doing.
  12. Bucs are not world beaters losing Evans is a big loss. They've been extremely lucky with a weak NFC south the past few seasons. They travel to NO on a short week which is always a tough place to play and then they have a bye, after that they play NE, Buffalo, Rams back to back to back weeks and close out the season with more division games and playing us twice. Without a complete implosion this division could be up for grabs up until the very end.
  13. Thats true because everything isnt going to go your way in a full game eventually momentum can shift and if you havent been capitalizing in the opportunities once some mishap or great play by the other team they could be right back in the game.
  14. Alot of that improvising is because Bryce won't take what's there in the 1.5 seconds. I think the talent we have at WR are good enough whereas Dalton can make those first reads, now if the Oline pass protection simply falls apart that could be a problem as Dalton is a statue back there. But we'll see this Sunday if the passing attack looks different than what we've been seeing so far this season.
  15. Save the dramatics for the soap operas this is professional sports. When Mile Sanders was the penciled starter I wanted Chuba who was outperforming him to get the bulk of the carries, now the script has been flipped. On any other team who's sole purpose is to win Rico would have already earned the starting role. But on the teams that flounder more times than not it's front office and business decisions trump what's happening on the field.
  16. He came off the bench he should have been in the game from the start, he was coming off a historic 2 game run you ride that momentum and see what happens. That rotating series b.s is just cute it's not how football is played and won. Chuba can spell Rico but why force 50-50 split when the production isnt split?
  17. Rico Dowdle now has 551 yards that's 3rd in the NFL only behind the Colts Jonathon Taylor 697 yards and Cowboys Javonte Williams 592 yards. His 5.6 yards a carry is higher than any other running back in the top ten in rushing. On the season Dowdle: 5.6 yards a carry Hubbard: 3.7 yards a carry Maybe next game this guy should be in the backfield when the Panthers offense takes the field so we can set the tone early in the running game. It makes no sense for struggling offense as the Panthers to view that type of production as a luxury.
  18. It was 3rd and 8 when Andy sealed the game on the 33 yard pass to Legette and the Jets still had a timeout if they were playing the run either their head coach or you doesnt need to be anywhere on a field coaching a football game. He gave his receiver a chance to make a play and his receiver did, seemed like an accurate pass to me and the results matched it. Agian as I said I would like to see how the offense looks with Andy or any Qb with the group of weapons we have if Byrce is out for awhile. I've seen what he can do, good kid, he's improved alot, but this offense still seems limited.
  19. If Bryce is out I'll like to see what Dalton can do with this offense the last time he was called up he didnt have much to work with. A disgruntled Diontae Johnson and old man Theilen. We have the deepest receiver room we've had in a long time. Some good young TE's. And strong rushing attack with Rico (should be Rb1) and Chuba. Good offensive line depth. Say what you want when Dalton came in the passing game started pushing the ball down the field, not so much with Bryce. Young stats: 15-25 for 138 yards and his two longest pass plays went to Chuba for 26 yards and Rico for 17 yards. Dalton stats: 4-7 for 60 yards he eclipsed almost half of Youngs yardage in just 4 pass completions. We have outside weapons we need to be able to keep defenses honest in order to make this offense work.
  20. I think this decision caused that game to be much closer than it should have. They essentially split carries and Roco had double the production, I think had those Chuba plays gone to Rico we would have had a much better run game and flow on offense. Thankfully the defense stepped up and saved a game the head coach and offense was trying to blow.
  21. This coach with his stupid personnel decision completely messed up the momentum this offense had going on the last two weeks
  22. On the flipside with him being hesitant to let it go, he gets sacked a ton, which is why the Jets have given up the most sacks on the season with 25. With our pass rush being invisible so far this may be the game they can show some life.
  23. Ok the corner has been turned. My exile in the fandom wilderness is over, I'm back.
