The speed of the moving parts when he dropped to the ground the defender was already lunging forward to make a tackle.

It's a garbage play and we all know why the league wants to "protect" Qbs so much. Can't hit em high, can't hit em low, protect them as much as you want in the pocket, but once they break the line of scrimmage and become a runner the bubble wrap should come off. I'm surprised a defender hasn't torn a ACL coming to a sudden stop trying to not touch a player running full speed a split second ago.
-
Absolutely no diffence in the sudden slide from both Qb's both were going full throttle and deciding to bail as the defender was engaging.

All you had to do was beat a 3-10 team ONCE

If the Saints had Shough starting all season they'll probably be leading this division. They clearly have the best defense of the 4 teams. Their offense was the problem early on which better QB play of late has improved that. -
Going for it instead of leading by two scores in the 4th

Yea same here. Weird that a field goal wasn't a option. -
The most unstoppable play in NFL history.

The rule isn't if your butt is on the ground it's if you give yourself up which Bryce did, but he was still contacted -

I know he likes being aggressive, but that seemed to be a little too aggressive. Not sure why were chasing points with the lead there. Rico averaged 3.1 yards this game and Chuba averaged 3.6 we couldn't run on them in the first game and neither in this one. Field goal was the better play. -
I’m not upset… I’m just indifferent

I mean its not like Tampa is much better. This division is nothing to write home about -

that's the play thank you -
Your memory is off. There was a slide and there was the run you're describing two separate incidents
-
That baffled me why were we so set on going for it, when a field goal puts us up 2 scores?

Dumb ass Dave Canalas. Pass happy

Both Chuba and Rico averaged less than 4 yards a carry neither had much going on. -
When I saw how they did everything to try snd gift wrap the win for the Bucs against the Falcons, I was worried about the refs and this game. But the Panthers deserved to lose if you letting a qb throw to open guys at the sticks on 3rd and 14 you not ready for prime time.
-
Yes it was bogus. Bryce had a similar last minute slide where the Saints defender still laid a hit on him and it didnt get flagged.
-
Yea that last personal foul hit on Shough was bogus dude running full speed and then makes a sudden slide what is the defensive player suppose to to do there when he's already committed to making the tackle on a full grown man.

I havent been the biggest Byrce supporter but you guys using this game as a reason to scream Byrce are showing your bias. Its not his fault defense couldn't get off the field on multiple 3rd and 14 etc and the Saints just drained the clock.

Haven't followed HS football in years but seems like the NCHSAA has watered down the playoffs, 8A? 7A? I remember 4 classification, what's the reasoning from going away from 4A or 4AA system?
-
Actually nevermind.....

"Analytics say go for 2" These coaches oursmart themselves game would be tied if they just went for the easy points.
